I really hope they open soon. Everything they have is so good. There isn’t a place in Santa Maria like bills take out. It’s family owned & operated & really is A true Santa Maria staple. Hands down.

OMG THE BURGERS! Not only that if u happen to get the chance to be an early bird on the weekend and have Menudo! Consider yourself luck cause it goes fast. Run to the nearest 7eleven and buy a scratcher or lotto ticket cause you are on a hot streak my friend!

Classic experience. Cash only! I've eaten here a few times when visiting Santa Maria. It's a true time capsule back to the 1950s - even the parking lot looks like it maybe have had carhop service at one time. I love how the architecture has remained virtually unchanged. It may look a bit rough today, but it's still neat to look at. The restaurant, to my knowledge, is walk-up only. There are usually a few others in line. This place offers a good variety of American and Mexican fast food items. I keep it simple and order their burger. It's nothing fancy but I'd consider it a true classic. It has a great flavor and pairs nicely with their perfectly-crispy fries. This restaurant is in an older part of downtown Santa Maria, though freeway access is fairly close by. It's not a touristy place by any stretch. If you're looking for a classic American meal and have cash on you, give this spot a try.

Their big cheeseburgers are amazing, so are their fries, and their root beer shakes. I am very picky about how my cheeseburgers taste, and this place does them On Point!

What can I say... Bill's Take Out is such a hidden gem. I refer all of my friends to this spot who might be travel through SM on their way up north or south. Why stop at In n Out when you can grab Bills? Their exterior seems untouched and straight from the 1950's. I find their vintage details quite romantic. It really makes for a classic burger joint experience. I can just imagine young couples pulling up late afternoon for a quick bite. Staff is always direct and friendly. No fluff or funny business here! It's a true "in & out" experience. The food is great! Always consistent and fresh. I always get their billy burger w/ fries and a deep fried burrito. Oh.. and a large Coke! They serve their drinks over crushed ice... It's my fav! I really hope this spot moves forward for many generations. Bill's Take Out is truly ICONIC!
