Currently experiencing low quality customer service and negative attitude from an employee who didn't want to help me purchase the item I needed. My friend was shopping and asked an associate if they could grab an item off a pallet for them. The associate replied that they did not have the item in stock even though my friend pointed out that the item was on the higher shelf. The employee repeated that they do not have the item available on the floor. After hearing my friend's attempt to get help I then roamed the store looking for an employee who would help me. After finding what seemed to be a supervisor, I received the help I needed after the first associate came back to check the isle again, even though the other supervisor and I found it. He walked the isle and still did not see it until I pointed it out again. Once he came back with the lift to get the pallet the employee then continued to make remarks to his colleague that defended his poor attempt at stocking the shelves. Still leaving 5 stars to not spread anymore negativity but this employee needs to practice their service skills. They did apologize once he handed me the product I asked for but it shouldn't have taken us 20 minutes to get the item or service my friend politely asked for.

Rudest Costco I've ever experienced. This time was the worst. I mistakenly bought a TurboTax kit in Goleta without the code so I called them stone it's 45 minutes from my house and they said I could go to Santa Maria 35 minutes away, as long as I had the case and receipt. I spoke to a lady who immediately went to her supervisor. A lady with dark long hair and glasses and she said that absolutely could not because of inventory purposes. I proceeded to tell her about the Goleta Costco telling me I could. She continued to shut me down and tell me no another 2 times without any remorse or empathy. Couldn't care less that I drove 35 minutes to return this. I grabbed my product from the counter and walked away in anger and as I was about to exit she condescendingly said well I was going to give it to you. Why refuse me over and over again until I walked away upset. I'll never go back to this Costco again.

Went to check out hearing aids at Santa Maria Costco , what a joke no staff to help and after quite a wait the tech curtly told me no testing apts available until June . A dispenser( tech) is out on leave . Costco mgt should not tolerate this type of poor customer service . If the current vendor can't perform find another stop wasting customers time .

Costco Eye Glasses and Vision Testing Both departments are busy, but worth it. The prices and the customer service can't be beat. Eye testing equipment is State-of-Art. (No eye dialating.) The staff is friendly and professional. You get what you need in an amazing turnaround timeframe. There is one "Special-Special" in the eye-glasses department. She was so attentive, so patient, so professional, so knowledgable, and amazingly friendly. She made me feel like we were pals. NANCY. I gave a list of needs; she gave me a list of options beyond my wildest expectations. She confered with her supervisor, reassured me I wasn't being a pain, and showed me frame after frame that matched my face. She listened to me. It was so busy, but she gave me her full attention. She recommended a tint that would tamp down fog, rain, and headlight issues. Oh! Those glasses are wonderful! I would have never known. I bought them in addition to the other 2 pair of glasses. Nancy took time to adjust and clean my 3 pair of beautiful glasses when I returned for pickup. She is an asset to the department, to the company, and especially to the client/customer. She deserves an accolade or 4 (million). What a wonderful experience! Tickled, and appreciative. Thank you, NANCY! You have such a beautiful soul! You handle those pliers like a pro! My glasses fit perfectly.

Me and my family have been on going customers with costco for many years. There return policy is awsome while I do think some take advantage off. I purchased a laptop 2/2023 originally for a project. Which the project fell through. So it has sat for the majority of the time. Only minimal use. To check emails, maybe YouTube. I did recently try to use my laptop for another project I have received and laptop keeps shutting off on me multiple times during use. I tried going back to costco but was told I need to call a number to see if still under warranty. I would of been happy with store credit. If someone would of took the time to check the laptop or try and help that would of been awsome. But I get it my fault right? I should off asked the question upon purchase. The item was purchased online so for all I know the delivery service could of dropped it. ?? So people make sure and always ask what the return policy is. Cause I'm stuck with a $900.00 laptop and can use. ​

Lazy worker JoelI asked for one box for my items, and he threw it on top after I asked him if he would please box my order This clown literally refused. There was no one in line behind me and he was standing there picking his nose basically. Unfortunate because this Costco get at least a four-star maybe five

Super frustrated with the tire center! When I try to call, I keep getting kicked back to the phone tree. After multiple attempts, someone finally picked up the phone only to lay it down and not answer it. It shouldn't be this hard to get service! I will definitely be going elsewhere in the future for tires.

It is true that to enjoy the benefits of Costco you need to have a membership. The cheapest membership is $60 a year. If you were concerned about making sure that your pantry is well stocked, then you can enjoy the membership with its full benefits for $60 a year. I shop around and Costco is just one of the options that I use but it is not the only option. Why do you ask? Because some companies might have good deals on some things and others on other things. I still appreciate, taking the advantage of discount prices, and having the option to buy individually and not in bulk. With that said, I have found good deals at Smart and final without the need of a membership. All I will say is that it is good to choose from whatever options we have available right now and that it is good that there are many companies that offer discounts without a membership, such as smart and final, grocery outlet, the dollar tree store, and the 99 Cents store.

Wish I could give this place O STAR. I wanted my pizza cut told them they came be my pizza then I told them I asked for it cut. They told me I would have to pay for another one. Need full refund and for those employees to get FIRED!!! They where rude!!

I have been following Costco every town where I have time to shop. This one came up in the mid trip between greater Los Angeles to the San Francisco. I love the fact that it has gasoline pumps on site, it also has its unique specialty. Believe it or not Costco caters the local population & ethnicities. One time I found in this place a Japanese green tea below regular price elsewhere! This time I found Calrose rice. Costco limits this rice to where it deems more rice consumed area. Other brands of rice will be substituted for this brand based on what ethnicity lives in the area. I like the challenge to discover what each Costco will provide to its local population.So, next time if you happen to be in a Costco, try to play the game of discovery to find the exotic foods & unique items to specific geography while enjoying your saving that Costco will provide you on your bulk-shopping. Cha-ching, there goes your money out of your wallet!

I went to make a purchase, the cashier said I had a hold on my card, I had to go to refunds to find out why. So, I did, the left me standing there asking me about a return I did, I couldn't remember, never said why I was being held. She couldn't find anything. So she let me go .She said to come Back. I said, did I do something wrong? Am I in trouble? She said, we could owe you money or you owe us money. Anyway, I went back they found that the new employee made a mistake and refunded me twice , so I had to pay back pay back $ 13.45 Does Costco need money this bad to put me through this?????I was soo humiliated and scared.

A huge shout out to the Santa Maria Costco hearing aid department! Our poor dad was told it would be 4 MONTHS to have an appointment for a hearing aid. Luckily, this location was able to hook him up for an appointment only 3 weeks out. Thank you ladies for helping my parents!

This review is for the gas station.Not much space to line up behind those people pumping due to a barrier in the back. However, the line moves fairly quickly with 24 gas pumps (8 lanes; 3 pumps per lane).I like how this Costco has the light indicating which pumps are occupied and which ones are available. This was definitely a better experience over the one I had yesterday at the San Luis Obispo Costco gas station. Regular gas here was $5.69/gallon, which is cheaper than $5.79/gallon I paid the day before at Costco San Luis Obispo. Since this Santa Maria location was easier to get in and out of, I will definitely choose this location over Costco San Luis Obispo next time I need to gas up in the area (during a road trip to/from Santa Barbara or further south).
