They're lucky I paid for the garbage they served me. Calamari was impossibly tough and rubbery. Took me 4-5 minutes to chew my first and only bite of my Chicken Udon. Server said "well there's nothing we can do about it". Also everything outside of the small dining room they stick you in has worse ambience than a cheesy horror movie. I was seriously sitting by the emergency exit wondering if I should make a run for it or not, instead I paid $52 for inedible garbage, humiliating service, and a scary, unsettling atmosphere. Ended up going to trader joes and making my own chicken miso soup. Don't get trapped in this place like I did.

Food, nope. Service, nope. Atmosphere, nope. My boyfriend and I went to have a nice atmospheric dinner. We got the calamari and it was terrible so we told the waiter who said “well i can’t do anything about it”. Okay whatever, then our entrees come, also terrible just so bland and poor quality but there was nothing they could do about it so we had to just pay the bill and leave still hungry. Never going back.

Terrible! They almost don't want you to order sushi. They tell you the wait time is very long to get sushi made.

Service was great. Food was ok. The plates size was huge. We ordered the family plate. The teriyaki beef and yakitori lacked salt and it was not compensated by the teriyaki sauce. The chicken was good. Just enough char to give it flavor. The tempura was good and they give out big portions.

Old school Japanese food and sushi. Great food at a great price! Service was great too...love this place.

Small but lovely place. Service is great! Cucumber salad isnt so great, portion size could be more bigger. The unagi over rice was delicious. Teriyaki Chicken with rice and salad hands down my favorite, cooked and grilled to perfection! Overall enjoyed the ambience, I would prefer that they play Japanese music to set the mood but other than that I'll definitely be coming back!

The food here is excellent! I love the ambiance and feels like a very traditional Japanese restaurant. 5/5 would go here again and will

Hole in the wall Japanese spot! Your meal is prepared by a Japanese chef, food is fresh and quality is excellent. You get so much food - value for money. Service is excellent as well - waitress was friendly! Highly recommended!

I’ve eaten here about a dozen times now. I’ll just say the food is very good, exceptionally good for the price. Today I had the chicken hamagozen lunch. It came with miso soup, gyoza, salad, along with tempura shrimp, broccoli, and carrots. All this and green tee for just under $15.

We came in for a very late lunch and were pleasantly surprised by the delicious sushi and flavors that this restaurant provided.. Sometimes you take a chance on restaurants that you've never been to , it's nice to have good service and good sushi. As you are traveling .

A true hidden gem! This place is more Japanese food and less about crazy sushi rolls. That being said, their nigiri was super fresh and flavorful. The miso soup was great.

Great Small Business Japanese joint. Sometimes low on staff, but worth it for 4 people or less. Sushi and sashimi prepared as the best in town. Lunch is a great time to go. Don't skip the soups and donburi.
