We have made it a long term (10+ years) tradition on NYE to visit Hama Sato. We have never been disappointed & their tempera is the best we’ve had - light but tasty. The building is starting to show it’s age but the excellent food & friendly staff keep us coming back, year after year.
Best Japanese food in town no other can out beat the power of Hamasoto pig you are another Japanese restaurant in Santa Maria, please don’t even try to size your self up to this place cause you know this is the best Japanese food in town and if I could give a million stars I would my family loves it and I do as well thank you for the best service very friendly and when dining in feels like your eating in Japan lol sounds corny but it’s true if you haven’t tried yet please...read full review

I’ve eaten here about a dozen times now. I’ll just say the food is very good, exceptionally good for the price. Today I had the chicken hamagozen lunch. It came with miso soup, gyoza, salad, along with tempura shrimp, broccoli, and carrots. All this and green tee for just under $15.
