The fact that they made me wait an additional 30min is BS. I did a phone order and the guy told me it would be about 20-30min so I said that’s fine I show up around the 30min mark, and he says it’s going to be another 5-10 min but they ended up making me wait another 30min..! It sucked because I only have a 30min lunch break. So I wasted my lunch break waiting for my food.

Don’t usually write reviews, but this is the second time Bennys has messed up my orders. First time, I gave them a multiple calls to ask them to remake or for a refund, but they were busy so I left a voicemail asking for them to call back or make a note on my account - never got a response.

This time I ordered a Tostada bowl with Al pastor and extra grilled chicken, no sour cream. They made it with sour cream so I took it back and they remade it - however, the one they remade was at least 40% smaller than the one they originally gave me, so I dug through it a bit and saw that they didn’t give me extra meat, they just gave a bit of both. I took it back again and mentioned this, to which they said that they did add extra meat. They literally made it right the first time (other than adding sour cream) but I can only assume they were angry I took it back because it clearly did not have extra meat and was smaller overall.

Disappointing that they’d rather lie to my face than correct their mistakes. If you order from here triple check everything they make because there’s a good chance something will be wrong, but be warned they won’t like you for it.

California burrito is one of the best in LA. Not many that compare to San Diego level but this is up there. They’ve also got delicious Pastor tacos and everything comes with chips and salsa. The salsa is tasty. Good outdoor seating also.

Benny's Tacos is the best deal on Wilshire. I highly recommend the Macho Wet Burrito. It was more than enough to fill me up as well as take some home

Visiting from out of town and walked by Benny’s. I was sold on the fresh tortillas. I walked in and asked the most popular burrito. They chose the most expensive. A clear sign of no real customer service. Long wait and when it was done they put it in the pick up cart instead of asking me if it was mine. I got to my hotel and opened it up. It was completely falling apart and the meat was al pastor instead of carnitas. Lastly, it did not taste good at all. Totally disappointing.

The green salsa of the enchiladas verdes was salty and had extra vinegar. The beans were so so and the rice below average as it lacked flavor. The portions were generous but I ended eating only half of the enchiladas due to the salsa mentioned above.The red salsa of the chips soso and the red salsa for the chips ok.

Perfectly done Mexican American style burrito I can’t say it’s fully American. I don’t like that style and it’s not fully Mexican. Love a lot hint of Americana Thank you for not putting french fries on the burrito. What’s up with that weirdness
