Benny's Tacos & Rotisserie Chicken in Santa Monica

The staff was very attentive and made sure our large order was correct. They gave us so much food too!

We decided to try this restaurant and let me tell you .. I will definitely come back again! Suky welcomed us as soon as we walked in the door, we told her it was our first time and she recommended us the shrimp and grilled tacos and they were so tasty !!! 1000/10 I loved the salsa that comes in the shrimp! She also said chipotle was one of her fav so we gave it a shot and the sauce and shredded chicken was delicious!! Only bad thing is they don’t have a bathroom but she suggested the nail salon across the street and they were so nice too they let us use it. Thank you guys will definitely be back again for more tacos

Food is good, service is eh, you don't get greeted, you wait forever for your food seeing people whom ordered after get their food first. Just a frustrating all around experience when one meal is 20 dollars.

Great place to order authentic Mexican tacos that are both affordable and flavorful. Wonderful patio to eat on and people watch or if you are in a hurry place a carry out order.

I am retracting and adding two more stars. Came for dinner and used my credit from last time. Plenty of parking after 6pm no problema Understand about the bathroom and I also understand about lawyers! :). Had a bean cheese and rice burrito..flavor was on point and very satisfying. Salsa was above average good but still not as good as my grandfather's he babied his frijoles de la olla (spelling idk 😬). And his salsa was placed fresh and warm right on the table but somewhat close. Delicious hearty and homey burrito and Large!. Hit the spot. I am ready for a siesta!! 🪅

Bad from beginning to end. Got here needed to use restroom NONE. Not even for paying customers 😕.. man next to me ordering with employee that had bad attitude... Unpleasant to see... Parking 2-3 spots and 1 handicap.. got here about 1 pm. Had to look and park a block away got lucky. Food lots of chips, beans and rice tiny street tacos although lots of cabbage to make them look big. Guac included with combo see photo for yourself put in plate after scooping out of tiny cup.. Finally fish tacos were terrible!! And I have had a lot of fish tacos at other places. For $17 bucks I would expect a lot more out of this dish. Looked over at other customers quesadillas and the burritos looked large but never had them here. Would I come back? Not for fish tacos this not the place. I would come back only because I got a credit for the fish tacos plate I returned.. not impressed 👎. Manager Theresa was very nice and the flavor of the food on point. Beans and green salsa v watery..

Had a half rotisserie chicken, really nice. Comes with tortillas but I skipped it, one side and can choose 2 sides for extra, garlic sauce and two other sauces. Tasty and good portion.
Nice and friendly staff.
Only issue is there is no bathroom or anywhere to wash your hands afterwards.

Meats were great!! Chipotle chicken tacos, fried fish taco really tasty. The fried fish was light, big, and moist, a pleasant surprise.

The Third Street location is always fresh and delicious, especially the corn tortillas. Unfortunately, this location consistently smells strongly of cleaning products the moment you walk in, and even the food seems to absorb the smell. I’ve tried it three times hoping it would improve because it’s closer to home, but sadly it’s been the same each visit.

I ordered a California burrito didn’t come with no guac no pico no cheese just fries and Al pastor

I honestly can’t tell you a single thing that I would do to make their fried fish tacos better. DO IT!!

Good amount of food for what you’re paying — 17 bucks for half a chicken and one side. They did forget my tortillas… The red salsa is actually really spicy, love that, and they give you a good amount of it too. Would definitely ask for more or the garlic dip though.

Heads up: no customer restrooms

“No public restroom” means no restroom even if you pay for the overpriced burritos. They’re good tho.
