A truly great place. Appallingly expensive. Yet, the food is incredible. Moreover, the service is beyond an A+.
Special mention to our server, Jimmy, who was super kind.

The chicken was amazing. Highly recommend. The waiter and service overall were good. Hotel is beautiful as is rooftop. Only downside is didn’t like being seated on shared bench with table next to us as it was hard to hear over them.

Me and my friends went to Calabra for sunset and had the best experience. Our server, Danil, was amazing. He went above and beyond, especially when one of us asked for a drink that wasn’t on the menu. His recommendations were spot on, and we loved the seafood tower. Overall, the service from the entire staff was excellent. Other servers checked in on us, cleared plates promptly, and brought the bill without delay. Danil’s attention and friendliness truly made our visit extra special. 🤩

Calabra is a perfect fit for all kinds of gatherings. Excellent service, and I love the presentation of the food. It’s in a good location on top of a hotel with a great view. If you live in Santa Monica and have friends visiting out of town, this is where you wanna take them.
The taste and the quality of the food are exactly what you get in other restaurants, but what stood out to me is the presentation of the food, which I loved.
Also, if you want a nightcap after eating and dining at Calabra, you can go downstairs to the first floor of the proper hotel, where there is a beautiful bar area with couches and chairs. It's classy, intimate, and romantic.

One of my all time favorite places in the west side of LA. Great mediterranean food, roof top with great views and design, and wonderful service.

Great atmosphere but food is awful and service is even worse. It took us 2.5 hours to get through brunch. And it’s super pricey to boot.

Went there on a monday evening. From the valet to the end it was such a good experience. Everyone were nice, but a special word for the waiter we had, MICHAEL, he is the best server I have ever met in LA ! And his recommendation were also good. I told his manager Paul, who were very nice as well. We’ll be back for sure

They have one of the best tequilas and margaritas but not large selection
Great appetizers and I loved the Mohammara

Restaurantji Recommends
Calabra restaurant in Santa Monica offers a remarkable dining experience that beautifully combines delicious cuisine with a stunning atmosphere. The rooftop setting provides breathtaking views, making it the perfect spot for a picturesque evening.
During my visit, I was fortunate to have Paul as our host. His hospitality truly elevated our experience. Paul was attentive, knowledgeable about the menu, and made excellent recommendations that enhanced our meal. His friendly demeanor and willingness to go the extra mile made us feel incredibly welcome.
The food itself was delicious, with a diverse menu that caters to various tastes. The slow roasted chicken was our favorite.
I highly recommend Calabra for anyone looking for a fantastic meal in Santa Monica. Be sure to ask for Paul; his exceptional service will make your visit even more memorable!

Obnoxious front of house staff. Inattentive and made you feel like you were an inconvenience to them. We waited 15 minutes for our reservation which we had booked in advance, there were no updates offered from them or communication about the status of our table. We had to go to them to ask what was going on. We just stood there like lemons. All round pretty pretentious place.

We visited for the first time and we absolutely loved the ambiance, service and the food! Mr. Rodrigo was phenomenal and the food was fresh and very flavorful. We ordered the Baklava (?) for dessert and it was nothing like the other ones I’ve tasted before. It was amazing! I would highly recommend it. We parked in valet and it was very easy and convenient
