Have only been here to drink, though I've heard the food is really good too. What I can say for certain is that bar manager Kent is amazing, and his drinks don't disappoint! It's tough to find really creative and well executed cocktails on the Westside, but the bar at Isla is one of those places where you'll always discover that elusive amazing sip.
Also, they have Isla Noches on Fridays through the summer where they do a late night drinks and dance party from 10pm to late with drink specials, a dj, and dancing! (And if you're lucky maybe some flaming Dr. Pepper shots)

One of the best restaurants I’ve been to in Santa Monica! The cocktails were delicious, the service was great, and the food was incredible. Highly recommend the chef’s choice. The food was super fresh and the atmosphere was very warm and inviting. One of our new LA favorites!

Had several amazing dinners at Isla but the one where Peter took care of our group of 5 was extremely memorable. He was very knowledgeable about the wine selection and cocktails and was extremely attentive and helpful. The food was amazing, with the sourdough and butter, cabbage, cauliflower and cod being the standouts for me. I look forward to my next experience with the Isla team!

Incredible meal. We were 7 people so had to get the tasting menu for the table, and they took amazing care of us. Everything was so good and they brought so much of it. One of the best meals I’ve had in LA in a while. Lots of inventive dishes but no gimmicks. Cabbage and pastas were incredible. I think the cod was the best of all. Awesome cocktail selection too. Peter is the man! Can’t wait to go back!

Amazing, attentive service with very creative preparations of classics. I will be returning just for the cauliflower. I took a star away from the food because we were recommended to order the wings by our server which I thought were very subpar (soggy and little flavor). Everything else, however was exceptional. I cannot stress enough how good the cauliflower is. Looking forward to trying other things on their menu.

Food was very good but the service was a disappointment. A pet peeve of mine is an improperly timed meal. All of our dishes were brought out nearly at once and at one point we had 4 of our 6 dishes delivered before we even finished our salad. The dining experience felt rushed, which is frustrating because the food was good.
They also have a 3% extra charge for using a credit card that they automatically add.
Awesome customer service but everything else is a tourist trap. Not recommended.

Despite hearing rave reviews about this place, my friends and I decided to give it a try. Upon entering, we were greeted by a modern minimalist decor that exuded coziness. Despite arriving early, we were promptly seated. However, our experience began to falter from there. Our drinks took over 15 minutes to arrive, and even then, two of them were incorrect. While the food was prepared relatively quickly, the flavors failed to impress me. Our order included Giusta Bread (which was very good), Baja Kanpachi (lacking flavor and slightly chewy), Crispy Calamari (delicious), Roasted Carrots and Arugula Salad (both mediocre), and Chicken (generous portion but overpowered by garlic). My friends tried the pasta and fish dishes, with the Tagliatelle with crab being the standout, while the others were just average. The biggest issue for our group was the excessive noise level in the restaurant. The loud echo of people's conversations combined with the background music made it difficult to hear each other, forcing us to raise our voices across the table.Overall, it was not the best dining experience for me. I hope it was just an off night for them.

Awsome adress for having a good time! The whole team is doing an excellent job in hospitality. Flexible and friendly they take care of you and give smart advise on wines. Furthermore, the food is not just excellent. The chef learned his job in Italy and has managed to reproduce with local products a real distinguished cooking experience which is realy outstanding in taste and quality. Please go on like this. We will come back!

The staff was so kind to squeeze us in on a busy weekend night. The atmosphere at Isla was very lively. I expect on a quieter evening, it would be a lovely place for a romantic dinner. Excellent beverage menu. Food is New American style with some unique flares. Make sure to check out their sister restaurant Crudo e Nudo!

I have never experienced such bad food while dining out. Everything was over sauced, dry & flavorless. Left feeling robbed of a nice night out. Save yourselves & eat elsewhere.

It’s pouring outside and my boyfriend and I made a last minute reservation. This restaurant is amazing. We were lucky to be two of the only ones there due to the incoming flash flood. Giovanna created one of the best mezcal cocktails I’ve ever had and I will absolutely be back ? Enjoyed the black cod and the
