This is the best ddukbeoki on the west side! I'm so glad I don't have to drive over to ktown to get my fix. Also the owner is very sweet. Even though the place is fast casual, he actually brought the food out to our table .

Finally dragged my butt to get a katsu sando at this rather fashionable little lunch place, and was happy I did-- it's a fun little lunch stop that's efficient. I also found that katsu sandwiches are not particularly my thing, was not super interested at the end of the meal. I got the ball things too and while it was nice to have some seafood, it was a heck of a lot of rice for one meal... guessing you should do either a sandwich or the rice ball things, not both??

Highly recommended!! Probably the best Katsu I have ever had since I lived in LA. I ordered several fried appetizers and Katsu plate. All of them are freshly made and tasty.1. Pork Katsu: unlike some other Katsu, this has light breading. The pork is juicy inside crispy outside.2. The fried mushroom is same as the Katsu, very juicy inside and without compromise the crispness outside.3. Waffle fries is not too much surprise tho as it is like other waffle fries you can get from somewhere else.With this price point, I will definitely come back for more!

I saw this place when I went to Panderia and thought I'd give this place a try, and the menu looks so good. There is some seating but I ordered this to go. You do order from a kiosk and this place does not accept cash. There is someone there in the front and he was very nice and helped me out and is very knowledgeable of the menu and helped me to decide what to order. I got the rosemary katsu sandwich with the waffle fries because it is one of the popular items. For the sanwhich you get to chose the protein either pork or chicken and the sauce. And I ordered yubu pockets with the seaweed salad. It was very filling and delicious!! I would come back and I do want to try other items on the menu such as the udon

I don't normally go to Japanese fast food take-out joints but went here because a friend recommended it and ended up going three more times afterward that same week. ITS THAT GOOD!So far I've had the:Rosemary pork sandoMushroom TempuraCrisscut Rose Tteokbokki w/ Katsu (great with a side of rice)Pork katsuChicken katsuKamikaze katsu SandwichKorean Gang Jung tender bite w/pork and chickenHot Chicken Sandwich (my favorite)Everything I tried was good. The katsu is juicy, tender, and perfectly crispy. Pork is good but I prefer the chicken, both are juicy and yummy. My favorite is the hot chicken sandwich! I'm a pretty spicy eater (I eat habaneros raw as a condiment) and the spice level of this sandwich did not disappoint! Love the mushroom tempura! The waffle fries are great but a bit overdone and on the dry side, but not so bad that I wouldn't eat it again and crispy enough to enjoy, especially when you have all the delicious sauces to dip them in! Haven't had the curry but cant wait to try more! The soda fountain drink options are great too. Unique flavors like pineapple cream, made with real sugar and no corn syrup.There's a parking lot with plenty of free parking and prices are very reasonable! Its my new favorite neighborhood place to eat! LOVE LOVE LOVE!

Don't go during peek hours. When it gets busy it gets busy! More errors and unhappy servers. There food is ok but a little pricey than what it should be.

Katsu Bar was a terrific value with generous portions of well made food. We ordered the hot chicken sandwich, curry udon with, kimchi dumpling appetizers. We were warned that the hot chicken sandwich was hot and this was not a lie. I love extreme spice, but tbh I felt this was a little spicier than is probably warranted - maybe I'd ask for a little lighter on the sauce next time. The brioche bread and slaw on this was great. The udon was perfectly made/cooked with a nice bouncy texture to the noodles. Good curry. The kimchi dumplings were great and were amazingly generous in portions for the price. I'd order the dumpling appetizer every time!! We additionally sampled the strawberry cream sando and this was a revelation! Very delicious. Summary: beware of the hot chicken sandwich's heat. Get dumplings every time. Strawberry sando!!
