Katsu Bar Reviews
undervalued place for excellent katsu
What a hidden gem in Santa Monica! The food was amazing, and the atmosphere was casual and welcoming. They serve some of the most authentic Korean and Japanese dishes I’ve had in the area. The staff were incredibly friendly, and everything was spotless. I came with my husband and our 4-year-old, and we all had a wonderful experience. 💕 The Calamari Fries were definitely the highlight for me. Highly recommend!
Delicious Rosemary Chicken Katsu and Fries!

Katsu Bar is a hidden gem on the west side, offering a variety of delicious dishes in a casual but thoughtful setting. The friendly and attentive staff provide quick service, and there is indoor and outdoor seating available. The restaurant features a mini-library where customers can swap books while enjoying their meals. The menu includes a wide range of items from fried chicken, katsu sandwiches, to noodles like udon, yubu, and sandos. The crispy chicken and flavorful curry are standout dishes, with the Katsu plate featuring juicy pork and light breading. Fried appetizers such as mushrooms and waffle fries are freshly made and tasty, with the waffle fries being golden, seasoned, and addictive. The Katsu Sando on Rosemary bread is heavenly, especially with a side of curry. The restaurant is known for its crispy fried chicken, with breading that is perfectly crunchy and chicken that remains juicy. Prices are reasonable, and credit cards are accepted. Parking is available on the street, and service is fast and friendly, making Katsu Bar a great spot for fried chicken lovers and those craving katsu sandwiches or noodles.
