The guy at the front is a problem. The guy with glasses. He’s rude, lied to me about putting salsa in my bag, and walks away from customers when they are talking to him, leaves people on hold when trying to place an order. The place would be so much better without him there. I’ve been going to Samo’s as long as it’s been there, and ever since this guy has been working the register, I have regretted going there each time.

The only thing I didn’t like is that the food preparers don’t wear gloves.

Went here with some friends of mine who live around the corner. The people who owned the place were very accommodating even though there weren't many seats.
The price was phenomenal in comparison to other places, and the food was absolutely delicious.
The people running the restaurant took really good care of my friends, and I. It just had a real family owned, kind of feel that had a really nice charm to it.
This is definitely a place that I will visit again.

A superb find in a tiny strip mall about a mile from the Santa Monica pier! We're big fans of Mexican cuisine and have had great Mexican food experiences in Texas, New Mexico, Arizona, Mexico and our home area of Madison, WI. This list could go on and on.
Now, in telling the person who served us how great their Mexican food is, he gently corrected us that this is Oaxacan food.??
The mole was definitely of the Oaxacan style, dark, rich, ever so slightly gritty with pumpkin seed, slightly spicy and absolutely delicious! Our other choice was berria tacos ? I've had some delicious versions of this in Arizona, Wisconsin, and Texas, but sometimes they lack a distinct taste and are too wet. These were exceptionally flavorful and the perfect degree of moisture.
I only give 4 stars to give a heads up on the location. Three tables and you share the dining room with coolers and the service counter.
The staff was friendly, authentic and competent. Because of our gushing over the food, our server treated us to 2 cups of their horchata... again, delicious.

Friendly, attentive service in a pleasant atmosphere. Unfortunately, the food is bland and uninspired.

Got take out from here. I had the cheese enchiladas with green sauce and my boyfriend had the nachos with asada.
Everything was super yummy. I will definitely be ordering from here again.
