Papi Tacos & Churros

Waited around 25 minutes for my order, which was a little unusually slow for a fast-casual taco restaurant. Since I waited that long, I thought the food would be piping hot and fresh, but it was room temperature and underwhelming. There was no apology for the wait either. I didn't get warned about the $2.50 avocado surcharge, and the total came out to $30. It was too expensive for the experience I got. I would avoid this place.

For me it's the best birria in la, I'm sure there might be better but I haven't found d any yet.

I'm gonna miss LA, but Papi Tacos in Santa Monica made my last day unforgettable! Being conveniently close to the Fairmont, I swung by for a taste of something I just can't get at home. The platter for one was absolute perfection - an assortment of tacos that hit all the right spots. But let's talk about that consommé... it was like a warm hug for my tacos. Dunking each bite into that rich, flavorful broth was pure bliss. If you're ever in LA and craving authentic tacos, Papi Tacos is a must-visit. I'm already planning my next trip back 🤤🌮️.

The best tacos I have ever had

Wait time is beyond understandable. One simple Churros taking over an hour is not worth the wait. Then forgets the order when asked 3 additional times. Finally get the order just to have unsatisfying meal.

Halal Tacos at Santa Monica. Must try the Bria tacos.

OG Birria was fire

Tacos were solid at this relaxed picnic table styled restaurant at the end of the 3rd Street promenade. I also got two of their freshly made churros and was not disappointed one bit. The ambience is definitely casual and less touristy than the rest of the area. Would go again.

Vey nice halal Mexican food! And not missing a restroom.

Burritos bout big as hell. Very tasty food, halal tacos. I had to lock in to finish my burrito.

Only problem is there's no public bathroom so when you get nasty eating your birria tacos you can't wash it all off. They have sanitized napkins.

Papi is one of my favorite regular spots in Santa Monica. The birria and aguas frescas are amazing. Great value for the area

The food was good just one of the of the workers in the back was giving me a dirty look whenever I was eating, MINUS 1 STAR

Vegetarian options: I liked the salad the waiter brought out (it was just a bowl of lettuce) the staff here are very considerate towards my vegetarian lifestyle (except for that guy that stared at me while I was eating)

Dietary restrictions: My crippled Muslim friend enjoyed that the rest your ant was very halal certified

Parking: sadly, there was no safe parking nearby, so I had to fight the nearby homeless to retrieve my food

Kid-friendliness: I FUCKING HATE KIDS except my little friend that's Muslim and crippled :D

Wheelchair accessibility: my crippled Muslim friend enjoyed going up and down the ramp for a couple minutes
