Don't eat the food so can't rate. But their Dark French Roast is always good. The staff work hard to accommodate. We get coffee here a handful of times a year. I love making my double shot small caps with Laird Hamilton's unsweetened coconut creamer at home. But if there is a place to go for good local coffee and down to earth service I'd say Pete's is the spot.

I am a huge fan of the Peet's. Last month I might have spent close to $200 on the drinks alone. I love the vibe at Pete's Coffee in Brentwood, right off Montana Avenue - it's always buzzing with interesting people. But honestly, their coffee just doesn't do it for me. Every time I've ordered a latte or cappuccino, it's been too bitter for my taste, unlike the consistently good ones I get at their Westwood location. I usually end up switching to hot chocolate, which is hard to get wrong. Not sure if it's the beans or the baristas, but something's definitely different here. Great for a hangout, but I'll be getting my coffee fix elsewhere.

Yes yes yes! This is what a coffee spot should be like. The coffee is excellent and reasonably priced, but what makes it so great here is the service! Everyone I’ve encountered is helpful, courteous, honest, and FRIENDLY. Makes for a great experience every time I go (and noticeable when I go to subpar coffee shops)
