Victor was very, very, VERY helpful — the kind of person who truly cares that you have a great experience. Whether it was helping us decide what to order or checking in with genuine hospitality, he made the visit feel personal.

Now let’s talk about the pizza… hands down some of the best I’ve had. Perfectly cooked, rich flavors, and just the right balance of cheese, sauce, and toppings. You can tell they care about quality. Every bite had that “I need another slice” kind of magic.

On top of all that — the prices were totally fair. Great food at a good price? Can’t beat it.

“Glad Hurry Curry has reopened after closing their Sawtelle location. if you are new and don't know what to order, try the chicken cutlet curry and the Chicken pasta with Alfredo sauce. The curry is bold and savory. make sure to request picked vegetables for the curry. the chicken pasta is also rich and savory. both dishes complement each other without repeating the same experience. the portions are large so bring friends or bring home plenty of portions for leftovers.“

“Hi I love this cafe - the food is healthy, tasty and wide-ranging in cuisines, and the people, Mimi and Justin, make it feel like another home. Mimi is a warm, consummate professional who can handle anything, events-wise, and the space is versatile for any kind of casual and convivial gathering. This place is one of my favorite “third spaces” for working when I need a change of environment from the home office (there are tables that overlook the pool), painting (I’m a huge fan of the paint and sip classes) or just hanging out. Neighbors can consider it a great resource for meals and snacks off the beach (and anytime), entertaining for occasions and even just to grab a bottle of wine or party-food supplies for friends who drop by. “WOW! If you are from LA or visiting LA this is a MUST! My dad has been eating here for 40 years and called me to meet him for lunch yesterday at Fromin’s! I work less than 10 mins away and dad asked if he could order for me, so I arrived and a Open Faced Hot Turkey Sandwich was put on the table the second I walked in by a Older bald gentleman who had personality and character that was so warming… he made me smile and like I belonged! The Hot Turkey Sandwich was smothered in Gravy, not too much but not too little, perfect! I had a nice big helping of Mashed Potatoes on the side smothered in Turkey Gravy which was OMG good! I can not say enough about how amazing the Turkey was! I had a side of fresh fruit which was also plentiful… and it didn’t disappoint either, all the fruit was fresh cut and super sweet! I would eat here every single day if I could, do not let the prices scare you…when it comes to good food in LA, anyone should understand to turn a profit you have to charge. I believe that hot turkey sandwich was about $27 but like I said I would eat it every single day if I could!
To top it all off when I was leaving I met one of the owners which was a lady who said she owned this place for 40 years as well! She was super nice, but I could tell she was all about business as she should be!
I just wanted to make sure I reviewed this place because it isn’t very often you find a special place like this… and when I find a special place I like to review it and make it known because I want it to stay open forever! Don’t think about it, JUST GO AND TRUST ME! I’m 260 pounds for a reason, I like to eat!!!! A huge plus for me as well was knowing this place is the Definition of Kosher! Everything is fresh! It was a Privilege to eat here and I deeply disrespect any person who says otherwise!“

I love the mama Chen salad and not so friend chicken sandwich , the soups are great…curried couscous is my absolute weakness and today for the first time I tried their Aqua Fresca (bc the employee gave me a free cup) and it was one of the most delicious things I’ve ever tasted!

Oh last thing…the seasonal menu is FIRE!!!! November to remember sandwich is absolute LIFE.“

“I make a pick up order so I don't know what the atmosphere is like but the food and service for pick up all really good. Highly recommend. I got a whole chicken and used it throughout the week for lunch and dinner. I also get their bottled dressings and salad and make wraps for lunches. I love their mashed potatoes and gravy. I also like the vegetable soup, very flavorful. Not a fan of the sweet mashed potato it was a bit watery.“

It's important to note that this is not to be confused with Barney's Beanery. The burger of the month was the Santa Fe, which came highly recommended by my friend.
