I've never seen a menu that flowed so well from one dish to the next. You can tell that ingredients were used across multiple courses. It's very mushroom heavy, so I hope you like all fungi. Atmosphere is very spa-like. Simple designs, earth tones and low candle light. It's a bit on the pricey side compared to other experiences. We may have paid more for NYE and it looked like the same menu as a normal night. No Champagne. Didn't do the wine pairings, already...
I've attached my dish-by-dish rating. We (party of 6) had an incredible meal but we had one 'Negative Nancy' who really didn't like the Squab, which I think influenced the other 5 people and created a somewhat negative lull during the meal. Objectively, I think it was 'too much' of a 'potentionally divisive' dish with basically 5-6 elements of squab, even if it was done 'properly'. I would probably take the single leg and combine...
SELINE is another fantastic restaurant by Chef Dave Beran.

Each course is artfully presented and tells a story with it's ingredients. There is a strong focus on California cuisine and using locally sourced ingredients to create a unique experience. The menu for our visit includes everything from mushroom, to trout, to squab and even a savory ice cream course. The level of creativity is what really sets SELINE apart making it far from the typical fine dining...
