This restaurant is now permanently closed. The phone has been disconnected and there are signs for lease on the front window. The same ownership has a restaurant in Westwood. The food is actually pretty good there, I would give it about four stars.

I ran into several issues with my order from here. I was assured by Nicole, who I believe is the owner, that I would receive a full refund for my order. After over a month of following up, they refused to refund my credit card and insisted on mailing a check. After depositing the check, I was notified that they placed a stop on the check, and as a result, I incurred additional fees. I reached out several times and have received no response. I would recommend steering clear of this place and avoiding the headache of dealing with them.

On Sunday, my chicken wrap was spoiled food! I threw it out to avoid getting sick. I never rated on Yelp until now. I don't want others to get sick especially during the COVID-19 crisis! I had always had good fortune trusting Yelp ratings until this awful experience.

Love this place, the food is great, fresh every time, Hummus and super thin pita bread is great, I love the kefta kabob and Greek salad, I go here all The time, is next to my favorite coffee place in Santa Monica.

Just a quick update since it's been years! My verdict remains the same! They are open for pickup now and I believe delivery as well. The quality is consistent, prices are very affordable, and the family atmosphere of bringing authentic lebanese cuisine to Santa Monica is UNMATCHED! The best in LA! I drive all the way from Glendale for their hummus and now I buy it in large quantities to have in my freezer so I don't have to go too long without. I won't buy hummus anywhere else! I look forward to the day when it is safe again for them to open their dining area so I can share this place with more friends and when my Lebanese family visits.

I was so deeply saddened and disappointed given the price of the plates, spending $55 for two plates that weren't of quality. My friend (who is born/raised Middle Eastern) and I were craving Lebanese food. We ordered the mixed shawarma with 3 sides and the beef lady's with 2 sides. First, I was pissed because their "garlic" fries had NO garlic or seasonings and they were served dry and cold. All of their meats were very hard, especially the beef shawarma was not at all cut fresh. It was hard and dry. Their pitas were big in quantity but not served fresh. Their only good things were the babaganouj and humus but it's not worth the $55 just to have 2 good sides. Unfortunately, I wouldn't recommend :(

I eat lunch here at least 2x per week. All home cooked food featuring old family recipes. The staff are wonderful and hospitable. Highly recommend!!

They have tasty food; the owner really cares about the customers, and they’re trying to give this big room a nicer, warmer and more colorful ambience and decor.

Too bad there is a good looking expensive Lebanese in the heart of Santa Monica downtown that DOES NOT taste anything like Lebanese.

Good selection of food. The dishes were flavorful and seasoned well. The price was average and in line with the portions. Atmosphere was light and open with moderate amount of noise.

Wonderful people, great service and amazing food. Being a neighbor, I have always relied on Sunnin for quality food, but never more than these days, being stuck at home with many restaurants closed down.

The lamb kebabs were seasoned great and pretty tender. The chicken, however, was a bit dry and bland. Fried cauliflower was okay, but the garlic fries were a pile of oil. The place was very understaffed, but while the two servers were trying to move as fast as possible and were friendly, the manager it turns out was just sitting around not helping at all. And while the lamb was good, our stomachs did somersaults soon after finishing the meal.
