I work in Santa Monica and just found this place after 2 years! What a gem. Food is the best and pricing is the best prices you’ll find in Santa Monica. Also, their banana bread… Amazing!

Stopped in here for breakfast and maybe a pastry, asked the super sweet woman if they did breakfast sandwiches (which I later realized weren’t even on the menu) and she said “sure! I can make you one up!” and proceeded to make a phenomenal bacon, egg and cheese on croissant sandwich. They were so very kind and positive, great vibes, great food!

Honestly, I don’t know why this place has such good ratings. It’s a small place, and the menu is limited to mostly sandwiches and a few brunch items. There’s only one table inside; the rest is a bar with three stools (that don’t even reach the height of the table) and two small armchairs with a tiny table.
We ordered the omelette and the Easy avocado toast, a coffee, and a bottled juice (no fresh juices available). I didn’t like the omelette because it was basically just the egg covering everything else, with some rustic potatoes on the side. My husband liked the sandwich. There was a variety of pastries that we didn’t try.
We also ordered the soup of the day, which was a tomato basil cream. It was a large portion. It wasn’t bad, but it wasn’t extraordinary either.
Dietary restrictions: You can remove ingredients from some dishes if you don’t like them. For example, I asked to take the onion out of my omelette, and there was no problem at all.

I work nearby so I’m lucky enough to be able to stop by for lunch or coffee quite often. The food is pretty good! I’ve had their pasta, the burger, both of the breakfast burritos, a few of their sandwiches and of course a wide array of their pastries!!! So far, they have the best basque cheesecake I’ve ever had in my life!!!! Their original AND chocolate flavors are so good!! Lately they’ve been releasing seasonal drinks as well and I am so obsessed. Over the summer I was obsessed with the toasted coconut latte and now I’m obsessed with their Nutty Banana latte. Love love love Uppers :)

It's a little place to have a nice breakfast. The two girls are very kind, the food is good and tasty. The place is very small, there are two tables and a counter for eating on the spot.
I absolutely love this cafe! Def a hidden gem in Santa Monica. I got the Brioche Bun Egg Sandwich and it came with potatoes for about $13 and it was splendid ??♀️??♀️I’m definitely returning and the back outdoor seating was amazing esp for summertime afternoon!!
