I was a bit disappointed with this café. The service was quite slow, even though it wasn’t very busy. The food also didn’t taste as good as I expected — not terrible, but definitely not something I’d come back for. Overall, the experience felt underwhelming.

Delicious pastries and food, smooth coffee and high quality matcha. Expensive, but that's to be expected considering the location and ambiance. The place is really cute with indoor and outdoor seating, little fountains and torches. Open late too. Can be very busy.

I had a really unpleasant experience yesterday(11/10/25) at this location. We went and ordered a matcha blended boba around 3:18pm, there was only a couple of people other than myself in line. While I waited, I noticed there was no one making any drinks. Tickets kept coming out of their machine but there appeared to be no interest in the orders. After about 13 minutes of waiting, I noticed people that ordered after me, started getting their drinks so i went and asked the cashier in the to go register how much longer my order would take. He went to check for my ticket and I noticed he grabbed mine and placed it on the opposite end. The guy making the smoothies (tall guy with long hair) grabbed the ticket and placed it back with an attitude. I felt uncomfortable, and waited another for another 10 minutes before the drink was finally ready. He announced my name and looked annoyed which also made me uncomfortable. I used to love this cafe, but it's no longer what it used to be. I was there for almost 30 minutes for one drink. Disappointed of the customer service and just overall uncomfortable with going back.

First time here 9 am Sunday. Ordered a waffle with fruit and they forgot to add the butter on the side. Server said she would bring it and never returned. Had to get up go to the counter and ask for it. By then the waffle was cold and I was given rock hard butter. Everyone seems to be in a rush here. Relaxing atmosphere but not relaxing... Sucks... Waiting for them to remake the waffle. Have to wait all over again. Let's see if they remember the butter... Maybe I will bring my own next time... FYI not everything is organic. saw the milk containers they use to make the coffee drinks altadena but NOT organic... Took photo of my empty table while I wait for the second waffle to be remade... Super lame... Update just got the second waffle and it's dark looks like they just reheated and not remade it OMG..after saying they would remake it and they placed the original fruit that came with the waffle on a plate on the side. The banana was starting to turn brown.. TERRIBLE!! What is all the rave about??? I have to plate my own dish for $20. Bucks... Lol. Where is the wow factor when a beautiful dish arrives warm on your table... FYI points/rewards only for the coffee not the food. Here is a photo of the reheated dark waffle that was brought to my table dark and not light or appealing.. super lame!
