Oh. My. Lanta. This place was good! The level of service was incredible! We were looking at the menu outside for a few minutes, deciding whether or not to go in, and when we finally did go in, a server (who turned out to be our waiter) already had samples waiting for us!
We ordered the Newbie, the Elaine (my personal favorite), and the Get In My Deli burger. All were absolutely delicious!
We had a very energetic one-year-old with us and the same server closed the restaurant door for us to allow him to run around (we'd stayed till closing but still!) The attentiveness and service was something I'd expect from a high end restaurant so getting it here at a local deli was just...awesome. I only regret not getting the waiter's name to shout him out more!
And they weren't weird about their bathrooms either!

Loved this spot. I live right next to Yeasty Boys’ spot in Venice but their bagels aren’t very good and frequently undercooked. Wexler’s bagels are delicious and their smoked fish is incredible. Very glad to find a solid NY-style bagel spot in LA.

Wanted to write a review for their old location in Grand Central Market, and then realized they recently closed! Here to bump the ratings of a place I loved. Went to Wexler's Deli in October 2024. I loved the food and the staff. I felt meh about LA as a city, but if I have a reason to visit again, I'm gonna make a stop at Wexler's Deli for sure. 10/10 stars for everything.

Came in hungry and stopped by. First time in so I asked the guy what he recommended. He suggested the reuben. I was split between corned beef and pastrami but the guy went above and beyond by letting me sample a piece of both. I ended up going with pastrami. The sandwich was so good!

Food was great although limited amount of sauces for the burrito and flexibility. Overall a very positive experience. I had a veggie breakfast burrito and my partner had the bacon breakfast burrito.

Just get the O.G. Trust me. Don’t need a lot of ingredients when the ones you have are this good. The pastrami is tender, smoky and full of flavor. Get the potato salad. It’s a dill and mustard flavor, and one of the best I’ve ever had. Our waiter even threw in a dessert on the house. A hidden gem in Santa Monica.

Their meat and bread is incredible and made in house! Very kind staff, Chai helped me and my grandfather and he provided top notch service, I got the pastrami sandwich this time, but next time i will try the corned beef! Unfortunately they don't have coffee flavors!!! But i had a good coffee and came for a sandwich anyways, if I came for coffee only, I would have gone somewhere else with flavors.
WHO DOESN’T TAKE CASH??? You’re a downtown deli. I stopped in for a bagel but couldn’t buy it with a $20. Sorry that’s all I had! You lost me as a customer. If you’re cashless PUT IT IN BIG BOLD LETTERS ON YOUR DOOR!!!

A comfortable place for NYers with lox, pastrami and pastrami lox plus caviar and more. Nice folks, every thing is fresh sliced and good sandwiches and combos.
