I HAD NEVER BEEN TO THIS PLACE AND IT HAPPENED BECAUSE I LOOKED AT GOOD DISHES ON THE INTERNET AND YES WE LIKED WHAT WE ORDERED AND THE PLACE IS VERY NICE THERE IS REALLY NO COMPLAINT BUT THE SERVICE VERY BAD WE ARRIVED AND WE WERE STANDING AT THE ENTRANCE GOOD TIME THE LADY WAS CLEANING TABLES AND HE JUST SAW US AND HE CONTINUED DOING HIS WORK UNTIL HE WANTED TO HE SAID THAT WE WOULD SIT WHERE WE WERE THEN WE SIT DOWN AND HE DIDN'T COME BRING THE MENU UNTIL HE WANTED TO COME TO WINE AND ASKED WHAT WE WANTED TO DRINK I DIDN'T ORDER ANYTHING I WAS ALREADY A LITTLE ANNOYING THEN HE WAS SERVING A HORCHATA AND IT WAS A LONG HARD TO GET IT IN AND THEN AGAIN HE LEAVES AND BRINGS THE MENU AND INSTEAD OF PUTTING IT ON THE TABLE AT A DISTANCE HE STRETCHES OUT HIS HANDS AND GIVES IT TO US HE DOESN'T EVEN REACH OUT AND PUT IT ON THE TABLE TABLE TO NOT MAKE IT LONG I CONSIDER VERY BAD SERVICE AND WORSE BECAUSE THEY SELL THE SAUCE I DID NOT LIKE THAT AND I WILL NOT RETURN xxxxxxx

My cousin and I stopped in for brunch and were greeted by Lulu. She was extraordinary in her service. Genuinely happy and I never saw her without the warmest smile.
The food was delicious, as always. But we will definitely be back because of Lulu.

Growing up in Santa Paula all special events were at La Cabana and our very special Grandma Susan absolutely adores the family and has always been life Long friends of theirs. Miss the tiny croutons and mint ball container that used to sit on the front counter but will take some enchiladas and a margarita any time any day!

For the price, La Cabana’s dishes hit like a slap in the face. You can wash it down with their fresh tap water tho, or just have a few margaritas, and it’s all good. Fortunately the service, atmosphere, and location are very decent.
