I didn’t actually step foot inside Avid Coffee—my wife braved the crowd and retrieved our order. From the car window, the place looked bustling, which in coffee terms usually translates to: “Yes, this is where the good stuff happens.”

I went with my go-to drink at any coffee shop: an iced white chocolate mocha. Now, let me rant for a second. At many third-wave/artisan shops, this drink gets treated like the embarrassing sugary cousin they’d rather not acknowledge. They’ll make it, sure, but it often comes out barely sweet, as if the barista whispered “white chocolate” over the cup and hoped for the best.

Not here. Avid absolutely nailed it. Sweetness? On point. Espresso quality? Spot on. Balance? Chef’s kiss. This is the first shop in ages where I didn’t feel the need to sheepishly ask for “extra sweet” on subsequent visits. They managed to craft a white mocha that both respected the bean and satisfied my sweet tooth. 10/10.

One tiny disclaimer though: three sips in and my breakfast was knocking at the door. I’ve always said, if you’ve never had a cup of coffee so good it threatens your pants, then you’ve never truly had great coffee. Well, friends… Avid makes pants-pooping delicious coffee.

Can’t wait to go back (after I double-check the bathroom situation)

Great coffee but omg the service. I just waited 30 min to walk out without my coffee. There was only 1 person ahead of me in line. I spent $8 for a mocha that I don’t know how will even get refunded because the girl was super frazzled. And instead of hustling to go faster she kept taking breaks to talk to her coworkers and customers. Where is the process or the hustle? I’m so disappointed

Best coffee in town, I think, plus there's lots of seating and food, with a chill vibe.

The espresso quality here is phenomenal. Both the cortado and cappuccino were outstanding—rich, balanced, and clearly crafted with care. You can taste the difference in the quality of the beans, the precision of the espresso machine, and the skill of the baristas. The latte art was beautiful, the flavor was on point, and the service was top-notch. The only negative thing is the price of the food was very inflated, $12-$15 for a breakfast burrito, $8.50 breakfast sandwich and $6 for a large scone. I understand that given the area everything is very inflated, but for a coffee shop I expect less than restaurant prices for grab and go breakfast.

It was busy around 9:45 AM on a Monday, but the owner made a point to check in with customers waiting for their drinks. He personally apologized for the delay and offered complimentary drip coffee along with a coupon for a future visit to those who had been waiting. A thoughtful gesture that shows how much they value their customers.

I will start by saying your product is amazing. But whoever runs this place needs to think a little more about the customers and the employees. Why in the world is there a 20-40 min wait for a coffee! You have 2 machines, hire another barista and open the extra machine. It’s insulting to your customers and your employees must be so overwhelmed. When food is ordered, I either have eaten it a full 10-15 min before the coffee comes out, or I have yo wait and it’s cold for my coffee. I’ve brought this up to employees and they agree about the second machine but that their manager won’t allow it. Spend the whipping $20/hr in labor and make this place less of a chaotic waste of time!

I love avid and don't usually get food but I had a gc so I got avocado toast that I took one bite of and threw away. Too much of that seed mixture and the avocado was turning so it had that nasty taste.

This Place is awful. I had to ask for my food because they forgot my order. It’s over packed, loud and the coffee is not good at all. I rather go to badass coffee
