Fantastic place, highly recommended. Excellent espresso drinks coupled with warm service and a relaxing atmosphere. Michael and his family were very helpful with advice on everything from pulling a good cortado to setting up a home espresso machine. I can see why people say this is the best coffee shop in Santa Rosa. If you're in Sonoma I suggest you drop by!
Go to Espressioso’s! Definitely the best coffee you will find in town/the county, and they have a pretty interesting story.
Mike, the owner, runs the shop Tues-Fri & Sunday, while his wife operates it on Saturdays (closed mondays). Not only is Mike polite and thoughtful, he also intimately understands his craft and that comes across in the product.
I had a cortado as I always do on my first visit to a coffee shop. The espresso was bright, rich and was excellently complimented by the milk, which was not only deliciously sweet and maximally full on mouthfeel, but also the PERFECT temperature. Kind of odd, as I don’t often consider temperature in latte-based drinks, but I had never realized a cortado could be such a perfect temperature until I had it here!
But it’s not just the product that is excellent at Espressioso’s. Mike and his team are working hard to revitalize their large space. As I write this review, their first sub-leasee is opening for their first day of business - a vintage shop with a focus on my childhood era - the 90s and ‘00s. Mike told me that they have hopes of bringing in a florist within the next six months or so, and that they plan on expanding their food offerings and table/seating accommodations.
I’m very excited to see where this business goes. It’s businesses like these that we need to support if we want our downtown to continue to flourish.
For the coffee nerds, this is the only place in the whole county that not only weighs every shot, but also tastes the shot every ~45 mins to make sure it’s still tasting and pouring well. This, to me, is the most impressive and important difference maker for a consistent and high quality cup of espresso.
I can’t wait to come back. Thank you Mike and good luck!

Absolutely one of the best mochas I have ever had. The texture, taste, and quality of the coffee alone. If you’re a Java head, this is the place to stop by!

Best concha’s ever. I’m not joking when I say I almost tear up eating it.
Latte hit the spot with the sweet bread.
Music was also amazing.
Definitely will be coming back.

Yum! 10 out of 5 stars! My favorite latte ever, it’s so delicious I had 2, and can drink 5 more. I am so truly happy and grateful to find this coffee shop. I needed a quiet place to study. I got the Dulce de

While clearly a work in progress I want to give this place a 5 stars for strong bones and a great direction. They clearly care about coffee and the beans I bought were delightfully unique, focused on a flavor profile of raspberry, plum and almond. To go there for your espresso really says something about the roasting and brewing craft they're aiming for. Not to mention the beautiful Slayer that is color matched to the room. I look forward to getting more beans and enjoying the cafe as it fleshes out. If you're into coffee, this is totally a place you need to check out.
I had not had good coffee in a while and ended up trying cold brew, a cappuccino, and drip—all amazing. My standards for a café have elevated after this, it is difficult to find a good roaster and brewer with this level of passion.
The open space was exactly what I needed at that moment, it was lovely talking to the owner and reading while a good selection of music played. I really look forward to seeing what they make of the space and I am happy to have a good excuse to come to Santa Rosas downtown when I am in the area.
50% of what they serve is sourced from Mexico, which is an uncommon finding—after sipping you will be surprised at the possibilities there are for a lightroast, and taste how underrated a region Mexico is for coffee beans.

Best coffee I’ve had in USA while visiting for 4 weeks. Owner is really passionate about quality coffee and has big plans.
Really cool new space and great coffee. We both got lattes and the coffee really shone through (aka is not diluted like the other lattes I’ve had). We spoke to Mike and he has a cool story and great vision for this space. Kevin and I can’t wait to be back soon to see how this space turns out!
Dude sweet bike friendly coffee shop down town just a block from the river creek trail! Also ask about the secret coffee menu they got some premium drip!

I think this has the potential to be a great coffee place, but I hesitate to recommend it right now (as of 09/09/2024). In my opinion, half the appeal of a café is the seating and the atmosphere, and currently, there is no seating, no air conditioning, no background music, and a tiny menu with little options for both coffee and snacks. And because the thrift store hasn't occupied the place yet, the entire building is an enormous empty space with a tiny booth in the corner.
While the staff is friendly and the coffee is delicious, it hasn't reached its full potential yet. Support this store, absolutely, but if you're looking for a fuller experience, visit in six months.
