Our two sandwiches and coleslaw tasted really off last night. I thought it was the spices they, so I ate most of the sandwich. Immediately after finishing I was so sick, I've been dealing with food poisoning since last night. My boyfriend also felt sick, and threw away his food after the first few bites because of how off it tasted. Super gross. Avoid this place.

The chicken sandwich was dark meat and the piece was on the small side. Pickles and coleslaw on it were good. Bun was toasted but seemed a bit stale/ dry.Chicken tenders were breast meat. We had Mild for our dinners and still packs some heat. Mac and cheese was comparable to Chick fila and fries were bomb. Comeback sauce is really good. Kindof a ranch bbq mix.

So good! This place is in Union Hotel Restaurant. Absolutely worth a try! Seasoned crinkle fries are a must too.

Decided to try this place out. We ordered take out.Pros: Mac and cheese and the fries were delicious. I'd go back for just these.Cons:The chicken sandwich wasn't amazing. We love a good fried chicken sandwich, but this just wasn't the best. The chicken was over-breaded and some parts were tough to bite. Daves Hot Chicken is much better quality. We ordered online and it said it would be ready in two minutes. We show up and they say three more minutes. We ended up waiting about 20 minutes in the restaurant with the staff seemingly purposefully ignoring our presence.Overall not an amazing place. There's other restaurants I'd rather give patronage to.

Came here the other night. I ordered the chicken tenders, and a few sides, Mac n cheese, the corn fritters. To be upfront and honest all of the food, and the service was terrible! I ordered my food online and went in to the restaurant to eat it. I ordered it ahead of time because I didn't want to wait along time for my food. The food ended up coming out 30 minutes past my promised time online. I could understand that if the restaurant was busy, or if there was a bunch of online orders. But that wasn't the situation. It was a Wednesday or Thursday and the place was very dead. And after my meal I can see why!Heed my warning... and steer clear of this place!!

This.....ain't it. I'm from Oakland where they have some of the best chicken sandwiches, so I'd like to think I know what I'm talking about at least a little bit. The only reason I'm giving this two stars instead of one is because I did try my friends mild chicken thotties and I felt like they actually had decent flavor and were juicy. However, they weren't very crispy. As for everything else we tried, i.e the jalapeño cornbread, the fries, and mac n cheese, they were all one star. I'm not kidding when I say Trader Joe's frozen mac was better than theirs. Fries tasted like freezer crinkle fries. And whew, don't even get me started on the cornbread....not even the butter that went with it could pass as decent. Very disappointed as I had been excited to try this place for quite some time.

Rounding up because COVID is stupid and everything is take out. Not this place's fault our government can't figure things out. Anyway... The food was great. I love UH pizza but I didnt want it tonight so I went for the chicken. I got mild, cause I don't like heat to be the only thing I taste. Bun was great, slaw was great, chicken was huge. Perfect price for a perfect amount of food. Ive gone to Dave's twice, and while they are good, I think this place is a step up. I will return. Not sure if they offer no spice, if not they should consider it, Im the only person in my fam who eats (semi) spicy food. Great job team, keep up the good work.

I really wasn't sure what to expect of this spot, considering it was located inside Union Hotel. I've heard so many mixed reviews and comparisons to newly opened Dave's Hot Chicken, but let me say this, Hot Chix is the real deal. My sandwich felt like it was made w some extra love, a feeling you can't get at Dave's, this is more of an organic, homemade feel. The bun: soft, buttery feel, chicken: seasoned well, cooked well, light crisp, moist. Slaw: nice sweet addition, adds a crunch, the sauce: sooo bomb!! I got the Hot and it was perfect for me. The Cornbread had solid flavor, but was just a tad dry. The mac and cheese had a very smooth, creamy texture to it, savory notes as well as a sweetness coming from the cheese/cream mix. Very solid Nashville Hot Chicken Sandwich. Full Video Review on my Instagram! @bp__eats

We have had friends telling us for months to check this place out. Well I am kicking myself in the butt for waiting so long! we got the Nashville chicken sandwich with fries and another Nashville chicken sandwich with Mac and cheese. The food was so good. I loved the seasoning on the simple crinkle fries and the Mac and cheese was so creamy. It seemed like a white cheddar Mac and cheese and oh so good. The chicken sandwich was perfect and every bite had chicken, which some places skimp on the chicken. Cooked perfectly both inside and out. Will for sure eat here again!

Trying to figure out why the buns on our sandwiches were just as crispy as the chicken. Wish I got a photo but I tossed it before having another bite. But worst first time ever. I spent way too much on something so unsatisfying. I cannot express how disappointed I am since I am a huge fan of Union Hotel Restaurant. Come on guys. Get them perfected please!

I'm from southern California, so I didn't expect it to be the same as the Nashville hot chicken places in my area, but this food was worse than subpar.Mac and Cheese* ZERO flavor. No other way to describe it, just incredibly blandFries* Not crunchy (as crinkle cut fries are supposed to be), clearly microwaved from frozen. Drooped and did not hold their shape when held.Comeback Sauce* The only thing that I slightly liked. I've had various comeback sauces, and this one was not terrible but definitely not good* Very tangy, tastes like someone dumped a ton of paprika into it. Spicy but not actually spicy, if that can be imagined.Chicken* Worst part of the meal. There were a ton of signs that it was frozen/processed including clear separation in the meat, the shape, the breading, the amount of extremely tough pieces that I had to spit out.* On top of this, it was RAW in some parts.Price & Service* Relative to other Nashville hot chicken places i've been to, this is extremely expensive, and you are definitely not getting your money's worth.* Service was rude. I went to pick up my order, and the lady at the counter sat on the phone with a customer (understandable) for about 5 minutes, however, didn't even acknowledge that I was there (like "Hey! I'll be with you in a moment"), then was rude and unprepared when she got off. This service is mirrored by the terrible service at the parent restaurant, so it makes sense.Overall, if you're looking to try Nashville hot chicken, this is NOT it. Don't even go here expecting a decent meal, especially for the price. I didn't even finish my food even though me and my friend spent about $50. If this was in person, I would demand a refund. I literally went out of my way to make Yelp account just to warn potential customers about this restaurant. Extremely sub par at best.

Again... need the half stars! But wooohooo first review. My score is 3.5 stars but I will round up as the first. I do need to say so everyone knows... this is a ghost kitchen inside of Union Hotel restaurant, so don't be weirded out! I will switch this up from my normal reviews and just go straight pros and cons!We ordered, hot chicken sandwich, Thotties (hot chicken fingers), crinkle cut fries, medium heat on both.Pros- COMEBACK SAUCE! It worked we will come back! Spicy, rich and delicious! Seriously so good! -Moist (sorry if you don't like that word! That's what it is) chicken. So much good flavor perfectly cooked. You can tell it's brined, dipped then fried! Well done-sando flavor, just delicious the sauce, slaw, pickles, bun. The balance was great (wish it was spicier but I will cover that later)-Chicken Fingers, Thotties is kind of fun to say, so that's one point . Flavor was great perfectly cooked! (Texas toast was unnecessary, I know it's the tradition)-fry seasoning, great Cajun seasoning!Cons-Fried food + Togo box in a warmer= not crispy food! I clicked the curbside pickup options got there when I said and marked that I was there. After over 10 mins I went inside and when I was helped they pulled my food out of the warmer and it was already in the to go box ! I am crazy when it comes to hot food, at home or out, so knowing it was sitting there hurts my insides! So because of that, the fries and chicken weren't crispy ! Luckily flavor won the day!-medium isn't medium it's mild! Maybe I'm too use to Indian food where sometimes I order the medium and it's like 2million scoville! But definitely ordering at least hot next time!!!
