I received $30 worth of gift certificates from a local radio station a little over 3 years ago and never had the opportunity to utilize them as I seldom came to Santa Rosa. A few weeks ago I heard La Vera was closing their doors permanently at the end of June so I decided to use them on my way back from Healdsburg. We looked online at the menu & I can honestly say I was surprised at the vast selection they offered. We placed an order & was told it would be 20 minutes which was perfect as the GPS said we were 20 minutes away. This restaurant was located on a very busy section of 4th Street (the memories of cruising up & down this street filled my head as we looked for a place to park) and we got lucky to find a sor spot directly across the street. I went inside, the restaurant was clean, not large, and employees were attentive & friendly considering it was closing at the end of June. Got my pizza, got back in the car to head home with it then decided to peek in the box. OMG it looked & smelled amazing! And when we got home I can honestly say the flavors were delicious & amazing! We ordered a sausage, onion & pepper pizza. Wish I had come here sooner as I would've come her at least once a month, that's how good this pizza tasted! I wish the owners well in they retirement & thank you Froggy & Rob & Joss for the gift certificates because if not for you I wouldn't have been able to try LaVera this one & only time before they shut their doors forever.

Always the pizza and Italian food in town. So sad they're closing. Go check it out before June 30, 2019. Been coming here for years never a bad meal. Thanks La Vera for the many years of making us happy

Walked in last night around 7:00 pm and asked if we had a reservation which surprised us since we never had to make a reservation in the past. We were told since the announcement the business was closing at the end of the month people have been swarming in. Waited for 10 minutes and was seated, service and food was excellent as always. When we left at 8:00 PM there were 10 people waiting for tables.

Best local spot in the neighborhood. The lobster roll for brunch is divine! Pizza and gelato is also a must!

Was pretty good pizza. Took my wife there for honeymoon and had a great time. Only thing was the sauce was kind of strong tasting like wine. But other than that great food!

A great neighborhood spot! Great soups, pizza, gelato, and service. I recently had the lobster roll for brunch, it was absolutely delicious! Such a good addition to the menu. I always enjoy coming here when I'm up north.

I had no idea how great this place is! Then I stopped in one night simply because I was tired and very hungry after doing errands, and really needed to eat a good healthy meal.
