We strolled past this place in our search for dinner and were immediately drawn in. It’s special. It’s the rare neighborhood restaurant that appears to cater to tourists and locals alike (hard to do, and they ace it). They serve simple, traditional Italian dishes that are fresh, bright, and generously portioned. I had the scallops and risotto, he had the house-made gnocchi with Gorgonzola sauce. The flavors were balanced and not overly rich. The vibe here is wonderful. I’m the last person who enjoys a singing-servers birthday bit, but theirs is so beautiful and heartfelt I teared up—and it wasn’t even me they were singing to! Come here for the food—you won’t regret it—but the kind, welcoming vibe that doesn’t drift over into kitsch, that’s why you’ll likely go back. We definitely will.

8/21/25 Pappardelle with wild boar sausage was really good. We would order it again. The gnocchi however, never again. I ordered gnocchi with pesto. There was so much pesto, it might as well have been a soup. The gnocchi, had no bite. Turned to gooey sticky dough once in your mouth. I asked if they use egg because I make my own. They add cheese to the dough and in my opinion, ruined it. Not only were they gooey, sticky, the gnocchi were varying sizes. Some the size of a gumdrop, some 3x to 4x. I’m available to consult to make a better gnocchi.
Really good Italian food. Very very popular. Highly recommend making a reservation even mid week and off-season. But it’s worth the effort
The spicy pasta is spicy!

This place is a favorite of mine. Their pasta pomodoro is very tasty even though they took it off the menu they will still serve it. I get the bruschetta and camellia beans. The space is small and packed, tables are very close together and it is loud in there. The waitstaff is friendly however, I do miss the guys that use to work there back in the day… they had so much personality and zest for their job and customers. I recommended this place to lots of my friends.

Beware of sneaky hidden charges. Server asked if we’d like the salad we ordered to be split onto two plates? Sure. Lococo’s charged an extra $1.50 to do that. REALLY?! Well that was a first (and last) time.
Try to go earlier for dinner as you will get your food faster. Last time we were there during prime time it took approximately 50 minutes before our food came.
Highly recommend making a reservation.
