We strolled past this place in our search for dinner and were immediately drawn in. It’s special. It’s the rare neighborhood restaurant that appears to cater to tourists and locals alike (hard to do, and they ace it). This place is a favorite of mine. Their pasta pomodoro is very tasty even though they took it off the menu they will still serve it. I get the bruschetta and camellia beans. The space is small and packed, tables are very close together and it is loud in there. The waitstaff is friendly however, I do miss the guys that use to work there back in the day… they had so much personality and zest for their job and customers. I recommended this place to lots of my friends.
Beware of sneaky hidden charges. Server asked if we’d like the salad we ordered to be split onto two plates? Sure. Lococo’s charged an extra $1.50 to do that. REALLY?! Well that was a first (and last) time.
Try to go earlier for dinner as you will get your food faster. Last time we were there during prime time it took approximately 50 minutes before our food came.
Highly recommend making a reservation.
