A Sunday evening for a party of four. The reservation was honored on time. It was a very long wait before we were greeted at the table. The rest of the service was similar... had to flag down the server for water, drinks, refills, and the check. The food was good (not outstanding) and on the expensive side. Disappointing especially since we had invited our out-of-town guests to join us (kind of embarrassing).
We just celebrated our wedding anniversary at Monti's in Santa Rosa. We choose it since we have had good experiences in the past. Last night's dinner did not disappoint. It's as through every item has been taste tested by their chef over time, producng the very best taste and texture from each and every item. Really nice!
Burrata appetizer and warm spinach salad were both excellent. We've had these before and they never disappoint. We shared the bacon and fresh pineapple with hot honey pizza and it was excellent as well. We are not usually fond of pineapple on pizza but the combination of fresh fruit and hot honey with excellent chunks of bacon was fabulous.
