Quite possibly the longest wait, slowest employees I've ever seen. Even though there are many employees on staff, they refuse to add a second counter person to help reduce the line, and those that work the counter act like it's their first day. Sad, since the product is good, but you better have a free morning or no deadline to meet.

The restaurant is cute inside. A little on the chic side. When busy it's packed so be prepared to wait for a table or get it to go. On a beautiful day the outside is always taken. Food - pastries are good but like everywhere else pricey. Because of the busy, they don't have time to fill the counter but they may have what you are looking for on the trays. Doesn't hurt to ask. Service - because it's normally busy in the mornings they should have 2 ppl working the orders. Poor young lady was filling orders, slicing bread and ringing. Again be prepared to wait in line for awhile. She was so kind and patient with questions and indecisive customers. She held her composure and had a wonderful smile. Suggestion - know what you like before your turn.

I'll first say that I will give this place another try. I tried the chocolate almond croissant and regular chocolate croissant. The flavors were good but it didn't pull away with my fingers like I wanted it to. It was a bit chewy/tough. Their pastry window and breads look delicious but I just came for the croissants. First experience is "meh". Hoping my second try will be a different experience as I am a croissant snob!

Who knew that a world class french bakery would be in Santa Rosa in a random shopping center? All the pastries my friend and I tried (we have a problem where we go to a bakery and order one of everything) all of it was delicious. The only better croissant I've had in north bay would be MH bread and butter. The tarts were all amazing. My kids loved the chocolate croissants. St honore, mmm! My fresh squeezed OJ was dinky and expensive. They also sell lots of french pantry items also. I'll be coming back here anytime I'm in the area. Mmm pastries, one of my favorite food groups, lol!

We took a Barlow tour and the owner gave us a tour and shared her story. You can feel all the love that she put into this business. The croissant was the best I've ever had. So buttery. So flaky. So much lamination!!! we tried the chocolate tartlette and it was such a treat! Flaky tart with the creamiest chocolate goodness.

I love this place. Everything they make is super good. But I'm taking a couple stars off because they are frequently out of items. Today they were out of sandwiches and were not able to make one on-the-fly. It has 3 ingredients! And it was 11:30. How do they not prepare for the lunch hour. So ridiculous.

Delicious freshly baked bread, croissants and desserts. Wonderful and worth the line. Perfect place to also order in advance, day before, and pick up to enjoy at home with coffee, tea and wine.

Plenty of French pastries and baked goods to pick from, they all looked so delicious but I was craving a croissant and I was not disappointed! So flaky and buttery The staff and even the other customers around me were friendly. A great place to chat with a friend or sit alone with a book.

I want to thank the person who assisted me today at the counter. My sister recently died and I was a nervous wreck there. I mistakenly hit the email receipt and was trying to type in my email address. My hands were so shakey that I just couldn't finish. She was so understanding and helped me cancel the receipt and gave me a paper receipt. That meant a lot to me.

After returning from holiday in France, I was super excited to try this place. My sandwich was fresh but very cold from the refrigeration. The brie and the bread was hard and didn't have much taste. It was all self serve but when I paid, the machine wanted a minimum 18% tip...for what? The ambiance was very cute, but would have much preferred french music to the loud, techno/pop music playing - just ruined the vibe for me. My cold sandwich, a tiny salad and perrier was $25. Sadly not worth it and likely won't return. So bummed!

Are you in need of a French patisserie and Boulanger, then you are in great luck. For the best selection, get there before 11 most days and you will have an overwhelming decision to make. Do not be concerned about quality, they go for excellence in that and taste. The space is best for a coffee and a treat with yourself or a friend, though it can get noisy and feel a bit cramped during rushes. You will need to make the call on take away or stay, though either way, hurry in without delay. ?Wheelchair accessibility: Meets ADA and most tables the chairs can be easily be moved to allow access.

I visited Sarmentine yesterday and got a small selection to try. I was blown away by the delicious cream puff...wow. The pastry was light and crispy and the cream, sweet and delicious. Probably the best cream puff I've ever had. I also got the flourless chocolate brownie...decadent and gluten-free. I got the gluten-free olive baguette...and it is delicious! I also tried the almond financier and it was also outstanding. What a wonderful find. I can't wait to go back and try the croissants.

This is absolutely a must go for anyone who lives in Sonoma County. They have some amazing breads, treats, and good coffee or chai. They also have a great selection of bread. I could not recommend visiting this place at least once enough. The parking around here is free and easy to grab a spot most of the time. A larger vehicle may have more trouble finding an easy spot.Vegetarian options: Most options are vegetarian with the meat choices clearly labeled.Dietary restrictions: They have many different options for dietary restrictions except if you’re gluten intolerant.Parking: It can be busy and limited during high use times, but there is an overflow lot a few hundreds feet away.Wheelchair accessibility: Same accessibility as all the other shops in this shopping center.
