Inviting calm quiet atmosphere. Very personable staff. Great drink selection. Nigori sake is a treat not to be missed. I haven't had a roll I didn't like but my favorites are the golden bear, dragon roll, four seasons, under the sea, and Shogun special.

12/16/2023 @ 11:50AM, For first visit to this Japanese eatery to try out with my sister. We both ordered lunch special bento box. Sister ordered beef teriyaki tempura combination, beef were processed meat "horrible" and tempura were not presentable and two sides in which first one is shredded lettuce with mayonnaise mix dressing "needs improvement" and one more side is lightly soaked in hot water tasteless beansprout. My order was tonkatsu thin sliced pork 1/4" thick breaded and deep fried were not too bad and kappa (cucumber) roll were a OK.I wish could rate much higher score but cooking processed meat is not way to serve in prominent restaurant like Shogun. Also those two side came with box needs improvement.I have suggestions, visit Honey Cuisine in Rohnert Park and order beef, chicken or pork Korean bbq lunch special (for under 18 dollars) which comes with steamed rice and salad (it's a salad should be) with Honey Cuisine's house salad dressing (it's really tasty, one of best in Sonoma County Asian eateries) might learn something ?

The staff are Chinese and not Japanese. My other half enjoyed his sushi but my Benito Box was frankly terrible and the side dishes were unpalatable. It is the only reason why I mentioned the staff were Chinese. Different mindset to preparing the

I've been coming here since I was a kid and it still hits the spot! I love getting the lemon chicken when I don't feel like sushi. But if I do feel like sushi - I get the yellowtail, albacore, and tuna nigiri. The fish melts like butter in your mouth! Great miso too. Come here and grab yourself an Asahi with some delicious nigiri sushi!

this is my favorite sushi restaurant on the planet. This husband and wife team does an excellent job. The food is perfect. There's nothing more I can say. by the way I have been in the restaurant industry for decades and I know good food even if I never ran a sushi restaurant. You can taste the love.
There’s nothing special about this restaurant that stands out, or that makes it better than any other place. The food is average and the sushi is slightly dry. I probably won’t come back for a while.

This place has been around for years. They used to be in Montgomery Village. Not particularly fancy, however, they have a broad selection of sushi rolls and nigiri to choose from and plenty of other non-sushi items on the menu for those that like their food cooked.

I've been going here for about 15 years. The sushi is always good quality and the service is excellent. I particularly like their Amaebi and Toro.
