It was moderately busy when we arrived, but not overly loud. As the crowd thinned out, the noise level dropped to a comfortable hum—it was much easier to relax and enjoy the atmosphere.

Am I crazy for feeling a mean girl vibe here?
I've come here two times and left with a bad taste in my mouth.
Avid oyster lover, and I left 2 uneaten.
My server did the bare minimum.
As a young, solo woman diner who ordered a ginger beer, glass of wine, half dozen oysters, and a salad, I would have hoped to be invited into an enjoyable experience at this beloved local space that I live 10 min away from. I spent the majority of my time here feeling impatient and uncomfortable, while watching tables around me enjoy their experiences.

I have been wanting to come here for a while, and the food was pretty good. I absolutely love the vibe of this place, and the spinster fries are to die for!!! The reason I am doing 4 stars though is because of the price and quantity ratio. Their steak, which was fine/good, was flat iron, which I don’t believe is the best cut of steak and for $45 you barely get any! But the sauce with it is so good. Everything we tried we enjoyed, but it is hard to say we would come back because of how pricey it was. I also loved that they had a Juneteenth celebration, The Spinster Sisters is obviously community oriented, and I do think they have a great thing going on, but again just too pricey, and there are other places I would rather go for the price.
Maybe if there are special/local ingredients they could highlight that more to make it more worth it? Just my suggestion!
It’s not just food — it’s an experience.
Bring your out of town friends here to impress them.

I had dinner at the Spinster Sisters with relatives I haven’t seen in 15 years. We all had a great time. The Spinster Sisters is a pleasant restaurant. Service was kind and the food was good. It wasn’t Michelin gourmet, but the cooking tasted fine. I did enjoy my baccala fritters. They were great. My tuna entree was good, and was prepared well. My sister and nephew, who live in Petaluma and Sebastopol respectively, love this place. By the way, the dessert sundae was fantastic.

We found it high priced and mediocre. The bosque pear salad had way too much balsamic dressing, and I couldn't finish it. I ordered 4 oysters, and one was dried and very, very small. All of them were "meh." Why serve oysters from the East Coast when there are many on the West Coast? Humbold Bay has great oysters. The Kennebeque potatoes French fried with herbs were good. Cod cakes had very little cod in them.
