I have been wanting to come here for a while, and the food was pretty good. I absolutely love the vibe of this place, and the spinster fries are to die for!!! The reason I am doing 4 stars though is because of the price and quantity ratio. Their steak, which was fine/good, was flat iron, which I don’t believe is the best cut of steak and for $45 you barely get any! But the sauce with it is so good. Everything we tried we enjoyed, but it is hard to say we would come back because of how pricey it was. I also loved that they had a Juneteenth celebration, The Spinster Sisters is obviously community oriented, and I do think they have a great thing going on, but again just too pricey, and there are other places I would rather go for the price.

Maybe if there are special/local ingredients they could highlight that more to make it more worth it? Just my suggestion!

I had dinner at the Spinster Sisters with relatives I haven’t seen in 15 years. We all had a great time. The Spinster Sisters is a pleasant restaurant. Service was kind and the food was good. It wasn’t Michelin gourmet, but the cooking tasted fine. I did enjoy my baccala fritters. They were great. My tuna entree was good, and was prepared well. My sister and nephew, who live in Petaluma and Sebastopol respectively, love this place. By the way, the dessert sundae was fantastic.

We found it high priced and mediocre. The bosque pear salad had way too much balsamic dressing, and I couldn't finish it. I ordered 4 oysters, and one was dried and very, very small. All of them were "meh." Why serve oysters from the East Coast when there are many on the West Coast? Humbold Bay has great oysters. The Kennebeque potatoes French fried with herbs were good. Cod cakes had very little cod in them.

We ate here on a Wednesday night, 5:30 with reservations & glad that we did. People had to wait outside at 6, which was odd b/c there were empty table inside when we left at 7. Short staff?
There are tables inside & you can eat at the bar, but recc outside tables. There's a woodsy feel to it. Chilly but plenty of heaters.
The chef leans towards Middle Eastern spices. We had the grilled halloumi, which was extraordinary and the halibut, which was unusually flavored but very good. The starter olives almost melted in our mouths. Wine & beer only.

Delicious! Wonderful summer dinner in their outdoor garden area. We started with the kier cocktail and moved on to their great wine list. Had the peach salad and the amazing focaccia with pistachio pesto. They have a wonderful selection of main courses. All farm to table. We finished with the summer berry crisp. Divine eating experience!

Food was fine, however, I was disappointed in how we were treated !
I made a reservation one week ago for the garden and when I got there at 5:00pm when it opened , first person there, I asked to change to indoor dining.
They did that- I was seated for 5 minutes when my guest came in and wanted to sit in the garden. When the hostess took us there she said all tables were taken and offered us an undesirable table - told me all the other ones were taken?
How could that have happened in 5 minutes???
They finally gave me the table I asked for and said we had to vacate the table at 6:20!
At 6:20 we had to move to finish dessert. ! Food was fine but not great enough to return considering how we were treated!

It was a hot evening in the (COVID safe) garden with a sweet slow breeze. Plate after plate of garden & sea fresh delights were delivered gracefully. Food was delicious!
