Lovely little bakery with scrumptious food and service. We ordered a sandwich, a loaf of bread (which they sliced for us), a chai, and an iced tea. All were wonderful. The chai was a house blend and had a good kick! There is indoor seating - about 3 tables. I enjoyed looking at the art by local artists on the walls. Plenty of vegetarian options. Street parking nearby. Quiet interior. My only complaint is I wish they had prices posted for most items, not just the drinks.
Red Bird Bakery sourdough bread is the best and the only bread I will eat. I like to toast a couple of slices and top with hummus. Also makes for a good fried egg sandwich or toasted tuna.
My favorite local bakery. Their bread pudding is perfection. Also love their sandwiches. Everything is good here.

Red Bird Bakery is an eclectic, cafeteria-style cafe with a small but quaint seating area. They offer a variety of pastries, cookies, tarts, cakes, cream puffs, breakfast burritos, sandwiches, and coffee. The almond croissant is soft with a mild flakiness, slightly sweet, and can be transformed into massive sandwiches or savory street corn veggie squares. Their bread pudding, resembling a muffin, is inventive, massive, and reasonably priced. The bakery is known for the best breakfast sandwich, available with either their bakery-made croissant or English muffin—both are delicious, featuring flavorful bacon that is not overly greasy. The staff is very friendly and seems proud of their wide range of offerings. Customers enjoy the light and delicious sourdough bread loaves, as well as plenty of sweet pastries and desserts. They still serve sandwiches for lunch, including a popular chicken pesto, but some items may be limited later in the day, so coming early is recommended. Occasionally, a vendor brings in an assortment of pastries, with a chocolate donut being a standout favorite. This cafe is meant for savoring, not rushing, making it a great spot for breakfast or a slow morning treat.
