“Our experience with the Wooden Petal was fantastic. I ordered 8 pretzels for my husband’s birthday because he LOVES pretzels. I read great reviews on a few pages and gave it a try. The experience from start to finish was great. They were so friendly when I picked up my order. There was a little birthday message on the box. Such a nice detail. We warmed up the pretzels according to the directions and wow were they tasty! We will order again, for sure. Thank you for helping me create such a nice birthday weekend.“

“Absolutely loved Sarmentine French Bakery. Everything we tried was delicious, and the bakery itself is really cute and has a great atmosphere. It’s definitely on the expensive side, but the quality made it feel worth it. One of those places where you leave already knowing you’ll be back. 100% would return.“

“Lovely little bakery with scrumptious food and service. We ordered a sandwich, a loaf of bread (which they sliced for us), a chai, and an iced tea. All were wonderful. The chai was a house blend and had a good kick! There is indoor seating - about 3 tables. I enjoyed looking at the art by local artists on the walls. Plenty of vegetarian options. Street parking nearby. Quiet interior. My only complaint is I wish they had prices posted for most items, not just the drinks.“

“The once a month dinners are gourmet which is why it is a good value. The menu is always different and creative. We had quail eggs in a yummy tomato base, lobster bisque, sea bass, eggplant and lamb moussaka. Then dessert and coffee. It is a fixed menu for one price. Fancy schmancy restaurants would charge twice as much. $125/person which includes tax and tip is well worth it. Even my picky husband enjoyed the 4 courses plus dessert. My only complaint is that corkage is $30/bottle and we like to take our own wine. We took two bottles for four people, so doing the math it increases the overall price of the dinner somewhat. But we enjoyed the patio dining on a nice warm evening! The chef is great and I enjoy dropping by weekdays before 4:00 for pastries and lunches.“

“I have tried some of their breads and they are OK. Could be better. Not on par with La Brea. The baguette looks good but only comes in French (sweet) not sourdough. They should start making sourdough baguettes. The batards are shaped too much like basketballs but do come in sourdough as well as the non-sour or Pane Francese. So far, I have purchased four rounds of six to 12 buntlertes, to sample the different flavors. I don't see us doing it any other way because they seem to have seasonal or special flavors to try. “Pricy but delicious. I don't remember how the service was, so I give that category 5 stars for now because I can't recall any complaints. As for the atmosphere. Well, it's in a mall with a fair number of stores, although I remember quite a few empty spaces. There are 3 small tables, 2 of which have 2 chairs and 1 having 3 chairs. There are also 4 cushy seats surrounding a table roughly 50 feet away. The atmosphere is not good or bad, it's just ... there.“

“I am so happy that I tried this bakery. All of their pastries are extremely delicious and they’re not over-the-top sweet like most bakeries are nowadays. It really makes you appreciate the taste of the pastry more and it ends up being refreshing and filling meal. Also the tortas are out of this world. “Had these baked goods at the Wednesday night market. Idk what it’s called but the almond thing with the custard in it… have a napkin near by it falls apart in the best way. Im not sure I’ve had anything like it. There was also this cinnamon thing with a swirl and very fluffy texture. Incredible. I’m glad I over shopped and got myself 3 desserts to take to the airport with me. I would have regretted any other decision. The baker is really nice and is an artist, his supplies being sugar flower and butter. Incredible work.“

“So excited to see this in Santa Rosa. I had already ate dinner across the way when I saw this was here. I decided to order Clam Chowder in a bread bowl to take home which is about an hour and a half north of Santa Rosa. They package the soup separate from the bowl so it was awesome! “The pastries are delicious, but such a huge assortment to choose from when you get there early. So difficult to choose one thing. You always wind up spending a fortune when you go cause everything. Looks and tastes so delicious. The crab croquet, Lemon croissant donut, pepperoni pizzeta and macarons are few of my favorites. One thing that I love is. The pastries are sweet but not overly sweet which is a plus.“
