This place is alright. Too expensive for what they're offering.I was waiting for quite a while before I received water or menus. The food was pretty bland. They had some really yummy hot sauce, but the food should stand on its own, not need hot sauce for every dish to make it enjoyable. (I'm not even a hot sauce heavy person).Very little chicken in the chicken and dumplings. The lamp cabbage rolls actually I enjoyed because they did not taste much like lamb...but that might be a negative for someone who likes lamb.Didn't order their desserts, but they looked delicious.Overall I wouldn't be back mainly because of how expensive it is, it's just not worth it for just decent food.

Casual dinning done right.A gem of a neighbourhood eatery, to be jealous of.From start to check, was flawless.Friendly, attentive staff, proud to show off their wines and a food.Everything we ate was on point, and everything we drank equally as good.Good portions and easy to share courses was a vibe.

If I lived near Spinster I would go at least twice a month. It's a fantastic local place we all wish was walking distance from home.

family style new american restaurant in santa rosa serving fresh food and warm vibes. all of the dishes were delicious, had good variety and well priced. small plates definitely better than large plates. service was pleasant. atmosphere was top tier, loved the warm lighting and bookshelf wall. perfect for a girls night or date night but better with a group to try more dishes. overall, would come back when i’m in the area!focaccia: small portions but tasty dish. focaccia had a nice crispy crust.dungeness crab fritters: well loved across the group! great flavor and chewy texture.chicken liver mousse: recommend if you like liver mousse! pairs well with the accompanying bread. can ask for more bread since the ratio is off.baked dungeness crab dip: one of the best dishes. dip was rich and creamy and the crackers were a great pairing. must try!spinster fries: well made side dish! fries were perfectly crispy and the sofa sauce was amazing.spiced carrots: so flavorful without being limp. must try!ricotta cavatelli: pasta was al dente but this dish was unmemorablecalifornia halibut: not a fan of the chickpeas but fish was decent.

We love this place for a special occasion. Their menu changes with the season and availability of produce so it's always fun to see what's new. Their vegetarian options are really filling and tasty. We enjoy eating outside amid the redwoods. Highly recommend.
Amazing food! Beautiful spot to have a celebratory dinner with a friendly staff. Celebrated a birthday here with a partner (and 2-3 other birthday celebrations nearby ?), and my parents have dined here on their anniversary.

The food was excellent the staff was on point I had a great time they close the whole restaurant down for us. I highly recommend this restaurant if you like good food this is the place
We had Lizzie at the bar for dinner and she was amazing! She was very thorough, personable, helpful, knowledgeable and generous. The food is so fresh and local and delicious. This is a great town gem.
If you want MEDIUM RARE CHICKEN this is the spot?I’ve never left a review but man was I disappointed with this spot. Waited 10-15 min out in the cold even though we had reservations and no one greeted us just watched us wait even though the sign says wait outside. I had to walk in and one of the employees goes “oh yea I saw you but we’ll be right with you”. When we finally get seated and got our food CHICKEN WASNT COOKED ALL THE WAY! The waitress never came to check if our order was good. I had to flag another waitress down. When I told the waitress she said she would check with the cook and then after 10 mins came back saying they were cooking another piece while the rest of the food that came with the chicken plate got cold. I have never sent food back but I was grossed out. I still wanted to give this restaurant another chance and ordered a sundae off the desert menu. Took them almost 20 min to get it to us. I understand when restaurants are busy I’m very patient but this place just went the EXTRA MILE at being AWEFUL. I’m convinced they were milking the cow in the back to make my sundae. Atmosphere was cool tho
