I have been going to Dudley's for years and have always enjoyed the food and of course the pastries are amazing, but I'm wondering if their current food prep person knows what the heck they are doing. This weekend in early February, I ordered a sandwich, as I always do, and it was prepared so sloppily I had to remake the whole thing. The aioli was in a glob in the middle of the bread (not spread) the avocado was just big chunk, also in the middle of the bread, so basically...
A definite stop EVERY time I travel through the mountains near San Diego. Been going here since I was a young child. Absolutely unique and delicious breads and pastries. I finally tried the sandwiches last time I went and was not disappointed. If you've never been you need to make time to go. 😋
A favorite spot... tonight we came in before closing and we're told sandwiches were all we could order. Perfect! We wanted dinner... unfortunately they neglected to mention that they were out of the dip for the French dip sandwich. It was amazing, though dry... just the blaseè attitude was what left a bad taste....
