Recently I visited Anchors Fish and Chips and Seafood Grill, Saratoga on Big Basin Way. I went with my friend after the Saratoga Memorial Day Services, May 25th. We enjoyed lunch. I ordered the Fish and Chips Mix Plate, it was really exceptional. My friend ordered the Calamari Steak with fresh vegetables, he said it was excellent. By the time, we left, the restaurant was packed. Everyone came to eat here after the Memorial Day Services. They offer a wonderful Happy Hour on drinks and appetizers too. I highly recommend Anchors Fish and Chips and Seafood Grill. You will love it, then go for a lovely walk about in downtown Saratoga!!

Amazing food, but I thought like the waiter would like to kill me in my sleep. He does not only hate his job, he hates you personally.

Very average food. It’s like the fish you buy in the frozen section at Safeways. Doesn’t justify the $100 for two people.

Love their halibut fish and chips - well worth the extra $$
Until the last visit I would have given 5/5 but they just started serving wine in plastic glasses 😬. We are in a restaurant, not sitting by a pool!!!
A “tacky” move. Hope they get glasses back otherwise I will not be going so regularly.

Good fish and chips! There were two big pieces of Cod and nice chips! Clam chowder was a bit salty for me, but acceptable. Since we went after lunch time, it was not busy. Space between table was good. The staff were friendly and energetic. We like this Anchor in Saratoga😊

Not sure how this place received 4.5 stars but my fries were old and they need to either filter the oil or its needs the oil to be replaced .Fish chips were soggy sort of mushy. And the crackers for my clamchowder were stale only thing I felt was good was my clam chowder which I sort of ruined when I put them crackers in. With that being said I can try them again maybe I just caught them on a bad day or maybe not. To be continued

Checked hours on line. Site said open until 9:30 pm on Saturday. Arrived, and door also said open until 9:30 pm. Arrived at 8:40, and they said they decided to close the kitchen early. I don’t mind what time they close, but I do mind not actually sticking to your posted hours and wasting the drive.
