Packaged Thai food from TJ’s is better!! 🤯. Had high hopes, but the Khao soi, and crispy pork belly were major letdowns. Only the Pla Duk Pad Ped (catfish) was good. But order medium or mild for the fish. That was the only plate with flavors. The Khao soi coconut curry was sooo blahh and I could taste the refried oil in the pork belly. We couldn’t chew some of the pieces. Horrible experience. I actually felt like throwing up after the meal. And what’s with the sticky rice?? microwaved and served in a fancy little bamboo basket with foil. It’s dry!!! How can they not get the rice correct? Ended up going elsewhere for dessert just to cleanse our palate. Seriously it was that bad!

Placed an order for pickup and it was ready at the expected time.
The portions were large and the food tasted great. Unlike the many subpar Thai places in the area, the flavor was just right by not being overly saucy and sweet and the noodle dishes had the perfect consistency.

The food was neat and delicious, and the store was clean and pleasant experience.
it's my fourth visit to Pat Thai Curry. I have a return visit. This time it's lunch, but it's okay to visit in the evening and have a meal and have a cocktail. I will recommend it to everyone.

I’d been wanting to try this place since it opened, and I’m so glad I finally did. The food was a feast for the palate and the eyes—beautifully presented and absolutely delicious. I came with my mom and nephew, and every dish we ordered was a hit.
The service was attentive, genuinely friendly, and made us feel really welcome. And the atmosphere was surprisingly lovely for a spot in a strip mall—clean, open, warm, and inviting.
All in all, a great experience. Can’t wait to come back (and bring more people). This place is a gem and already a new favorite.

1st time at Khao Thai: the service was good. Food was good with great portions (minus the spring rolls, they were cold inside, not sure if that how it's supposed to be). The place is small so make sure to make reservations if you don't want to wait. Friendly staff & plenty of parking. Check them out

Update from Dec 2025:
I went back to the restaurant - these are my findings:
1 star - the WORST vegetarian spring rolls I have ever had
This ruined the whole meal experience - they never asked if we like the food or if anything needs to be addressed/changed.
Basil eggplant was different and a very nice surprise
Tom Kha vegetable soup was excellent as last time
From Nov 2025: Food is overall very good.
Tom kha soup was awesome and pad kee Mao (drunken noodles) was also very good.
Green curry had too little eggplant - though it did have good flavor.
We went on a cold night and were seated in the table where when the door was open cold air breeze hit our table .. so it was uncomfortable.
I suggest they put up a glass/plastic barrier behind the wooden panel so that the cold air does not hit the patrons. something should be be done ...

We went the 2nd time after a past good experience. Our curry was stale/cold and chicken tasted very gamy. Service was poor. Portions have reduced. Overall not good experience!

This place reminded me how good Thai food can be! I love how clean and attentive they are with their food, service and interior. The prices are reasonable for the quality so I'm absolutely coming back. I think a few of the reviews don't give this place enough credit.
Food: the ingredients are very fresh, well prepared, and perfectly seasoned for both the green curry and khao neow moo tod. They even care to put your sticky rice in a container to prevent it from drying out - more places should do this! The roti, as others mentioned is a bit greasy, but it was still super crispy and flavorful. Someone mentioned the tap water being good, it totally is.
Interior: bathrooms, tables, menus and kitchen were all sparkling clean. This is a silly personal highlight, but they separate the sinks from the toilets so you don't have to hog a whole bathroom to wash your hands. AND the toilets are their own rooms. Whoever owns this place has a mind for detail.
Price: great value for the level of quality and experience. I rarely feel this way about Bay Area restaurants.
Service: friendly, professional, and provided great recommendations.

Went here for the soft opening first, food was great, very flavorful. Service was a bit hectic but it was a soft opening so it was expected. Returned again after they fully opened, they were very busy, best to make a reservation. Food unfortunately wasn't as good this time. The roti was extremely oily, the Tom Kha still had good flavor but had shards of the hard lemon grass everywhere so it was really hard to eat because the were small and not easily seen. Also, the ratio was off. Most the soup was onion. The price was also high for how small the portion is. Service was still hectic. Not sure I'd go here again.
