Sat at the Sushi Bar.... First time at Otoro. It was unfortunate the Itamae were too busy to visit.... But Vindy picked up the slack and took care of me. I recommend the Spider and the Crunch Roll. I'll be back the next time I have business in town.

My favorite Japanese restaurant in the Santa Cruz area. They work hard to get you in—it’s a somewhat small place for the numbers coming for dinner. Food comes up quicker than I would expect, and presentation is always beautiful and enticing. The fish is so fresh and very nicely prepared. Chirashi is wonderful and bento box dinners are ample. Hope you find Otoro is a new favorite.

Fish is perfectly cut. I visited this place twice in two days (Friday and Saturday) and tried different fish and all of them were delicious and fresh.
Chefs are very kind and smiled, you can tell they love...
