Athens West Reviews
The hubs had the kabob platter and loved it. I had the vegetarian platter and while most of it was very good the falaffel however had the flavor of taco meat which was a bit off-putting so next time I’ll try something different.
Greek chicken salad was a delight, has crunchy cucumbers and calamata olives , feta fries were okay, I needed a little more seasoning on them. Steak pita was delicious too, had red onions roasted peppers and tomato and lettuce. Outdoor seating with covered patio. nice!

Athens West is a popular spot for delicious Greek cuisine. Reviewers praise the restaurant's good food, generous portions, and reasonable prices. The Huntington Beach location is a particular standout, with a huge salad that's always crispy and fresh. The service is speedy and friendly, with a smile. While the gyros may not be the highest quality, the rest of the menu is a hit, including the lamb chops, calamari, and salads. The sunny outdoor terrace is a lovely spot to enjoy a meal, and the outdoor patio is also available for diners. Parking can be challenging during busy hours, but the location is well worth the effort, especially being in the heart of Seal Beach on Main Street, making it a great place to stop after a day at the beach. Customers often enjoy the variety of dishes like the Veggie platter, which is light enough to enjoy a walk on the pier afterward. The Avlolemono soup is highly recommended for its exceptional taste, especially the orzo used instead of rice. The calamari is also a standout, with little breading and perfect cooking. According to recent reviews, the atmosphere is relaxed and chill, with a few tables inside and on the patio overlooking the parking lot. Service remains friendly, great, and fast, making it easy to order and get food quickly. Customers praise the gyro for its juicy, well-mixed meats and fresh, cold veggies, calling it the best gyro they’ve had since visiting Greece. Portions are good, and vegetarian options are available, though some find the spanakopita portion size disappointing when only two pieces are served without clear menu information. Overall, Athens West continues to be a reliable and enjoyable Greek restaurant in the area, perfect for a quick snack or a sit-down meal.
