My family and I have been coming here for over 10 years. The food and service is always amazing, this is one of our family staples that we always want to go for breakfast or brunch. We love the playground special, French toast Royal, and Mexicalli scrambled. All 10/10. I hope this place is around for ever ?

Good Habits
The food is not bad here but the service is horrible. There's this caucasian maybe 35-40's lady with blonde hair that served us and was not friendly, didn't have a good attitude and was honesty in my opinion just racist in how she was treating us compared to the other guests. I would honestly go somewhere else. No thank you, no have a great day, just like quit your job if you have such a nasty attitude.

Had a breakfast burrito with ham. Very delicious! Noticed that the waiter kept throwing ice into the plants from plastic cups of water. Gross.
I don't typically do reviews unless I am unhappy with a place but this place impressed me enough that I had to leave a positive review. I got the huevos ranchero. The sauce is phenomenal and they even made the corn tortillas taste good. The orange juice was amazing and my man got the country fried steak which was amazing and the gravy on that....ALSO AMAZING!!! This place is a MUST!! Wish I lived in Cali so I could frequent Blackboard Bistro!!!Dietary restrictions: Catered to my gluten free request

Blackboard Bistro is the hometown cafe you’re looking for! It’s a Seal Beach locals favorite that I visit every time I’m there. The food is amazing! My favs are cashew chicken salad and eggs benedict, but the menu is large enough to accommodate everyone. The staff treat you like family. It’s well worth a visit anytime your in Seal Beach.Kid-friendliness: Great staff and large menu make kids feel at home. Outdoor seating for kids to walk around. It’s great.

Stopped going here since the owner is a bully to staff and guests. This place is one of the few places in Seal Beach that has outdoor patio dining, yet the crazy owner won't allow dogs or bikes on the patio. I even asked the waiter, why don't you put a few tables in the garden outside the patio for dog owners and biker riders, since I was getting a dog. The waiter said the owner hates dogs. Update: the owner put gravel and tables in the garden like I suggested(see outside photos) but still no dogs allowed ???
