“My favorite secret Korean fried chicken spot. Some shops are so big in advertising but fried chicks don't taste fresh. This place is a hole in a wall almost hiding in a deli only foodies know. It seems like a family owned business, I have tried all the popular chains for KFC but this one is juicy, very crunchy on the outside, and seasoned just right!!! It comes with a little side of carrots and celery keeps me from the guilt of eating fried food. Support this business! It's the best in my area I think.“

“First time trying Crimson Coward and was a bit hesitant due to the higher than average costs for Hot Chicken... but let me tell you... they're chicken is ON POINT!

The chicken is super tender, fresh, crispy, and best of all - HALAL... the breading is probably the best I've had of all the hot chicken places I've tried. I tried the Medium spice level and it was perfect for me. It had the perfect heat level / kick and with their tasty ranch, it was perfect!

But the best part of my meal here was the excellent service I received from the 2 guys working, Jeremiah and Angel... these guys know how to treat customers, especially when it's your first time. “After seeing this on Grub with Greg, I decided to try it out since it was close to my brother's house. I ordered some pastrami guys and a chili cheese pastrami pizza. The fries were good but I thought it would have done chili as well but I was wrong. Wish it did have chili tho. The pizza was pretty good. I enjoyed it. The place was pretty packed which is a good sign for good reason. Will come back to try the taco tuesday.“

“Very Excellent! It's comparable to Raising Caine's , even the sauce. It's a little cheaper in price, and without the wait. They use REAL chicken not fake processed/pressed chicken. As an added bonus, they accept EBT Food. The only downside is it's hard to locate. It's a sub-let inside the Minimart on the corner. There's no outside signage.“

What I ordered:
▶️ Spicy & Sweet Tuna Kimbap 참치 김밥 – $9.99
The tuna had a creamy texture, wrapped up in perfectly cooked rice and seaweed. The size of each roll was about 1.5 times bigger than your usual kimbap—definitely not a one-bite deal!

▶️ Fried Chicken Tenders 치킨 텐더스 (4-5 pieces) – $13.99
I chose the chicken tenders during their lunch special. These tenders were made with chicken breast, so I felt healthier and lighter. I paired them with sweet garlic sauce (스윗갈릿), which had a hint of mustard and a touch of sweetness—definitely a unique flavor that you won’t find at traditional Korean restaurants, but it was so good!

▶️ Rose Pasta 로제파스타 – $17.99
Rose pasta is super popular in Korea, and even available in convenience stores too! The sauce is a mix of red (tomato) and white (cream) sauces, often available as a pre-made mix at grocery stores (just look for “cream cheese rose sauce”). Every restaurant seems to have their own take on this dish.
In Korea, it’s usually slightly spicy, but although Chan Chan marked it as spicy, I didn’t really taste any. The portion was massive— enough for 2-3 people to share!

The plating here is on point, with thoughtful presentation that’s perfect for photos. Even the dishes and containers have a more modern, stylish vibe compared to typical Korean restaurants.

The banchan (side dishes) were lighter in flavor, with kimchi and pickled radish that weren’t too sour, making them more suited to international palates.

Oh, and a clean restroom is always a bonus for me (yes, I’m one of those people who always checked the bathroom cleanliness! ).

Chan Chan is definitely on my list for a return visit! They also have another location in Irvine.

If you’re craving traditional Korean food, you might have to head over to Garden Grove or a little bit north for more variety, but Chan Chan is a great option for something a little different in the Huntington Beach area.

BWW has too much breading. these are perfect. for the wings I got Original Hot, Honey BBQ, and Pineapple Jalapeno. all so good! for the fries we got the jamaican jerk! they're good. kinda tastes like a peppery bbq. also their packaging was awesome. “I was staying at the Golden Sails Hotel in Long Beach for the 14th Annual SURF GUITAR Festival. Their front desk recommended Pizza X Two so they gave me a small paper menu they kept in the side office. I called and ordered a small 8-slice pineapple and ham pizza along with their deluxe Mac n cheese bowl. I don't write reviews very often but I just wanted to say that their deluxe Mac n cheese bowl was amazing 😋. The pizza was good, too. But if you REALLY want to be blown away, order their DELUXE MAC N CHEESE!!!!!“

It's not a "No" to the restaurant itself, it is a "Yes" to all the other great places on the same street I have not explored yet. “I’m a huge fan of Boiling Crab but personally, the sauce and seasoning is much better here! It’s less salty and def more savory. I had king crab legs, mussels, and shrimp but they were all cooked just right. The portion was honestly more than enough and the staff are super friendly. They offered me new gloves after noticing that they had gotten dirty after a while!! The seafood is super good quality for sure but the sauce.. 🤤🤤 eating the sauce with just the rice and the sausages. We came here for the signature dish, Giants Short Ribs with Tteokbokki, smokies, mini corn dogs, fishcake strips, and cheese. It's spicy, and meat falls off the bone. Great comfort food.

Giant Chicken Katsu with curry and tonkatsu sauce is huge! Flaky outside, tender and juicy inside. Make sure to come hungry.

Busy night, but the service staff were efficient and attentive. Parking is a challenge when busy.“

“Great price for their combo meals.

We got 2 order of the combo wings. The combo comes with 1 medium size pizza, 12 wings, and 1 liter soda of choice.

You’re able to choose 2 sauces for the wings and we got mango habanero, lemon pepper, honey garlic, and something else. For the pizza, we got bulgogi and Hawaiian.

On top of that I ordered the dumpling and rice cake soup which was pretty good. However, there were only like 6 dumplings and lots of rice cake that couldn’t be finished. Towards the end of the soup, it started getting a bit saltier as well.

The price you pay for the amount of food you get is decent. Flavors are good as well. I think the only complaint is that they drench their chicken in sauce which isn’t my preference when eating Korean fried chicken.“

Food is as important. B.bq made my party outstanding. Some of the people that were here had never tried this restaurant. Now that has changed, many more plans to re-order. I am a repeat customer when I see people with subpar chicken, it breaks my heart. I have never felt that way with this restaurant.
