I wanted to love this place so much. It is beautiful inside, and the Italian market items are amazing. I had the Special sandwich, and I am sad to say it was just ok, and by the second half, I didn't want to eat it anymore. There was something off about the composition of the meat and cheese selection, the lettuce is not crispy, and the bread was fresh, but so chewy that I had to literally gnaw away on it to bite through it. I adore fresh bread but I thought that was maybe a bit much. I think the main issue I have with the sandwich is that they just use mustard and mayo as condiments, and it was very mustard-forward. To me, mustard should not even be around an Italian meat sandwich, but maybe that's just me. It's possible I ordered the wrong thing and I need to order something else next time or ask them to take it easy on the mustard.

The original Santa Fe importers is the best. This not so much - I would’ve give it 0 stars - and after giving this place a chance since it opened - I have found hair in my food - gross! And because we brought issues to their attention - they never assume any accountability. I tried again today ( haven’t been there in 6 months or more) the owner Jack said he no longer wants my business. Laughable my money spends well everywhere. I should’ve contacted the health dept. Asta la Vista - good luck 🍀 to you all.

Bought caprese small sandwich. Hardly anything on it! Very disappointed, and first time there. Will not go back. One small piece of cheese, one tomato, and a few basil leaves. And for that price!

Sandwiches here are so good. They feel simple with high quality ingredients. Got the spicy capicola and it was amazing. Pasta salad was on point. Staff was wonderful. Jack brought a meatball out for us to try and that was quality meatball. Will definitely try the meatball sub next time

@santafeimporters1947 has been around since 1947 and they are an Italian deli with freshly sliced cured meats and delicious sandwiches. They have two locations in seal beach and the original in long beach!
My favorite was probably their special sandwhich. It came with tons of cured meat on a soft French roll and something about mayo, bread, and cold slices of meat just go so well together!
They also have tons of cold sides like potato salad and this pesto tortellini pasta that I really liked!

This was my second time trying this place. The first time I came just to try their special sandwich. Found it to be a little pricey, but very delicious. So I came back to buy 2 more and try their Tuesday special of chicken parm.

Excellent pizza and meatball sandwiches.

The cannoli filled with sweet chocolate chip cream was good with a granular texture with a kick of sweetness. Nice customer service and nice atmosphere.
