I was not sure what to expect. And I was blown away. Everything is homemade from the tortillas to the sauces. I felt like I'm being fed food by someone who is making food like they would for their family. An absolute privilege. Friendly and attentive staff to too. And the prices were very reasonable, I think the other person went to a different place.

The food was bad. Who knows how old the chicken is. Ordered two dishes and three drinks. Came out to $60. They sure charge a lot for a business without a building.

Located in the Veteran's Hall in Seaside, this one family show spot is the most authentic and delicious Oaxacan food in the 831. The señora was super sweet, kind and funny despite her arm being broken! Her energy and love can be tasted in the food she makes. Sundays are their goat meat (chivo) specials, so fortunately it was a Sunday when I drove by there. I went for the taco Oaxaqueño de chivo which was the size of a burrito! The salsa had a nice smokey kick to it, the huge tortilla was hecho a mano(made by hand) and was super soft and warm, and of course the goat meat was super tender and went well with the Oaxacan cheese. To drink, I had to try the tejate which is a pre-hispanic maiz and cacao drink made in Oaxaca. This place definitely reinforces my decision to move to this side of the the Monterey Bay. Overall, if you're in the Monterey area and need to taste love-infused Oaxacan cuisine, then this is the hidden gem to eat at!

Food here was super authentic, i had some tacos and they were gooood! handmade tortillas and the salsa they make made them taste authentic and delicious! I will definitely have to come back to try their mole and other goodies they have. I also had Tejate which is a prehispanic authentic drink from Oaxaca and it was super refreshing!

The good: Food is 100% authentic and delicious.I had a quesadilla with pumpkin flower and carne asada, hand made tortilla? You bet! The salsa was so good, had a smokey flavor to it.The bad: it was kind of complicated to find the place. It is inside a Veterans of Foreign Wars club house (WFG). We almost didn't make it inside because of the confusion. The door with the sign isn't the way in. Get in the parking lot and go through the club door. Once inside turn right. The ugly: We are only here on vacation. I won't be able to eat this deliciousness more often.Vegetarian options: Pumpkin flower quesadilla.
