whatever you do, DO NOT order the Chicken Curry. I literally had to throw away because of the amount of salt that went into this dish. I don't have that issue, but if you have high blood pressure, this will kill you and I am neither kidding nor exaggerating

This place is really wonderful. I had been wanting to try this place for a while. Finally got the chance. The first thing I noticed was that it just felt classic, and pleasant inside. A warm welcoming, and older but very clean and well taken care of buildout. I wasn't sure how the food would be, but the first impression gave me a sense that they cared. And then the food came and I was very pleased. We had the red beans and rice and a special sausage sandwich. The red beans and rice were proper, and the sandwich was something I'd only expect to find in New Orleans. It wasn't just a basic "po boy," it was unique. We'll definitely be coming back.

The real deal! Gotta come back and explore the menu, Ferdi's gone but the legend remains, CREOLE! These spices bring back light and really love! Not a fast food pickleria!

The best Cajun food I've ever had ! Tried the gumbo and the blacken chicken sandwich, had the big easy (hamburger) available only on fridays , the sandwiches are great any size you get week without it . The lunch specials are always great , the waitress is awesome , she has always attended us with lots of respect and courtesy! I will always come back to this place ! I give it 10 stars .El Guerra 2021 !

I heard these sandwiches were good, but it really wasn't. It was like a boring cafeteria sandwich. Plus, they had drinking glasses proudly displayed with the word "Jigger" on them, which made me uncomfortable. Maybe that was what made me hate the sandwich.

Closed but looked interesting enough to stop ? by sometime and give them a try.

Perfectly preserved from 1988, there's no denying this place is legendary. Brown tiles, faded business cards, comics so worn you can't find the punchline. Check it out before it's gone!My muffuletta had that '88 flavor, too. Although my meat was cut to order, the ham showed some signs of discoloring. I wasn't expecting pimento cheese, and the olive tapenade didn't hit right. A relic, with not too much future ahead.

This is a tiny spot that comes with a few caveats, such as closing earlier than posted hours, being out of dishes or ingredients (all three happened during our visit). Not the cleanest environment ever, but nothing that made me uncomfortable, and I'm a neat freak. The food! The food is great. My jambalaya didnt have any calamari, but our server said the chef would increase the other proteins. Tender shrimp, juicy chicken, a super dark roux and just tons of depth of flavor. I'm a spice fiend and I found the dish quite spicy, so since I believe its made to order, keep heat level in mind. It came with underwhelming garlic bread that helped with the spice. I cleaned my plate. My partner ordered a sandwich we both thought was on the small size, but he said it was very good. Our server was very sweet and apologized for our wait as we ordered right after a "big order". I do not mind waiting when I know why. A good alternative to the quirky interior experience would be just to get take out. Support local businesses! There's something on the menu here for everyone

Excellent and tasty food, I loved the ambience the place has, and the employees were welcoming. I will surely come back.

Takeout a couple weeks ago was great. You shouldn't necessarily expect "formalities" like receipts, a strong online presence, long, consistent hours, or everything on the menu being in stock, but these folks know how to cook. I had both the chicken curry and the jambalaya. Both were packed with plenty of protein and flavor (not overly spicy but not wimpy, either). I was told that the other dishes ordered by our party were also quite good. I look forward to future meals from Ferdi's with some degree of salivation.

Blackened chicken, pepper steak, and vegie sandwich are my favorites. Burgers on Friday always cooked to order. Dine in, take out available. Cash only. If you are in a rush, call ahead!
