Delicious food. Great elegant but low key vibe. Food was amazing and incredible. I loved the open kitchen concept!

I had veal for appetizer and grilled trout as the main dish. Both were excellent: the chefs got the basic stuff right: green vegetable grilled to perfection, crunchy fish skin, yada yada. Beyond that, sauces and herbs were very well balanced with some creative ingredients mixed in (a few non traditional herbs that accentuated the dish, fish roe, etc.)I had ricotta cake for desert; that was ok, but not exceptional like the above two.Friendly staff and relaxing atmosphere. I hope you guys stay strong; looking forward to returning one day.

You know a restaurant is a cut above when they concoct their own slightly spicy, warm sauce for their fried calamari instead of just plunking down a bottle of ketchup. A delight!

Not sure how to describe this place. I'm gonna go with casual-fancy. The staff opens the door for you up on entry and exit. The place looks amazing. I dunno very warm, homey, and fancy, simultaneously. The kitchen is open and the food tasted fresh and clean.

Maligne is a newly opened restaurant in Seaside with a beautiful and inviting atmosphere. The food was absolutely fantastic, with an extensive and seasonal menu that was executed to a high standard. The service was top-notch, and the staff were warm, attentive, and knowledgeable. Overall, it was a fabulous dining experience and I highly recommend Maligne to anyone in the area.

The chicken parm is like none you’ve had and definitely portioned for sharing. The grilled beet salad was also tasty and very special. But it seemed they could benefit from a second server…. Great meal, Maligne!

3.5 starsWent in for dinner when they first opened and now lunch, and it's ok. My one word description would be immature. Food isn't bad some things are kinda unremarkable. I mean crab cakes, calamari, and French fries are on every warf restaurant menu on the west coast. Oysters with cocktail sauce and homemade hot sauce next to a nice kampachi crudo, a nice refined crudo next to the most basic oysters? For dinner the stand out were the grilled prawns with sauce americaine, sauce work was on point. For lunch the grouper was the best dish, entree portion were generous. Disappointments were the tuna collar, kecap Manis and herbs pretty boring, lacking a good char. Ricotta cake was good just super rich like fat on fat on fat, a little lemon somewhere would have gone along way.Service for dinner was pretty terrible the chef took our order with out writing anything down and forgot the tomato salad and savarin. Between our second course and entree there was about a 30-40 minute delay and we sat there with dirty plates in front of us. While a newly arrived 4 top, who seemed to be friends with chef, received all the attention from chef and the Somm. Pretty much service stopped for the other 3 or 4 tables for about 30 minutes. Lunch service was more attentive but there was another 30 delay between course. There was only 4 tables, I'd be curious to see what happens when it's busy. Having the benefit of seeing your guest you should be able to read a situation. If they garde manager is chillin have him send out a couple pieces of foccaccia, to 1 acknowledge the delay and 2 let the guest know we haven't forgot about you instead of awkwardly glancing at the guest every couple minutes.Ambiance is nice the young modern vibe, good hiphop playing at a decent volume. Some classic cook books on the pass. Lack of signage I could see bein a problem at night. I don't know why they don't fix the door? The abstract painting of the women with her legs splayed open encapsulates the restaurant, immature.
