Had an amazing meal here and thoroughly enjoyed every second. Was traveling solo on business and made a reservation for one. I was warmly greeted and guided to a great spot where I could admire the open kitchen. Had the beet salad which was truly excellent. Just the right amount of smoke and the rolling of the beets was a great touch to add to taste and enjoyment. Followed with delicious Monterey salmon. Cooked to perfection. I rarely write reviews, but this was one of the best meals I've had in a while. Our server (forget his name but he had long hair pulled back in a bun and facial hair) was great - made us feel welcome, answered questions and struck a great balance between being attentive and not rushing us at all.

Maligne is an exceptional restaurant known for its fresh ingredients, attention to detail, and delightful dishes. The staff is consistently friendly, and the atmosphere is relaxing. Standout menu items include veal appetizer, grilled trout, and a unique fried calamari with a house-made spicy sauce. The kitchen pays fine attention to every dish that gets sent out, including a delicious and tender whole turbot, a simple but perfectly dressed little gems salad, and a light and airy milk bread with a pleasant smokiness from the grill. Guests leave this highly recommended establishment feeling satisfied and eager to return. The menu features super local ingredients that showcase the rich bounty of the area, especially with fish as the main highlight. The vibe is beyond amazing, with creative dishes served on vintage china and delicious choices like Wagyu Steak, Salad, Broccolini, Milk Bread, and Mac & Cheese served family style, which many find fabulous. The hors d'oeuvres/starters, such as Hamachi crudo, octopus, broccolini, beets, and oysters, are all fantastic. However, some guests noted that the mains, including pork bellies and halibut, can be somewhat disappointing, with halibut being dry and overcooked. The steak and morels were good but not great. The Tiramisu is spectacular, and the overall experience leaves guests eager to return, often opting for small plates to share.
