The tacos are really, really good! They have a kids menu as well, which is great. I usually judge a Mexican restaurant by the quality of the horchata, and let me tell you their horchata is amazing! I went inside an order, the people were so very nice and the place looks clean and neat. I highly recommend this place. The tacos were amazing, and the service was great too!

Discussed with this place. Should have known not to eat here when the place was empty and Panda Express containers on the table from the employees. We Ordered a 2 and 3 meat fajita meal total of 3 shrimp in the 2 orders and we can't identify the other meat because it's minced up garbage.

We stopped here on our way to a conference. This restaurant is located in a cute cottage just off Del Monte Avenue on the border between Seaside and Monterey. When we entered, we were immediately greeted by a friendly young woman and handed the menus. They have quite a vast selection and variety of options (perhaps too many), but we were in the mood for some tacos. My wife and I ordered the two taco combination plate, which came with our choice of any meats (non-seafood). We ordered one chicken and one asada taco. The waitress was friendly and helpful, and brought us our food promptly. The chicken taco was too salty and lacked any real flavor outside of the excessive salt. The meat tasted more like lunch meat you would buy at the store for a deli sandwich and not at all how I expected it would taste. The tortilla was fresh and tasty, as was the cilantro topping. The asada taco was much better and I enjoyed this one. It was more flavorful than the chicken by far, but still a little too salty and the texture was not as moist as I hoped it would be. Still, a worthwhile taco to order if you're out here. The rice was mediocre at best and the refried beans were excellent. They tasted fresh and were not over saturated with lard. The beans were cooked perfectly. Another plus was how hot all the food was, and their tortillas were delicious. I was a little surprised that they did not offer us any chips and salsa. I didn't ask for them, but nearly every Mexican restaurant I've been to offers these as a starter. I enjoyed the charm and decorative spirit of this restaurant. They had a nice outdoor patio seating area, although the propane heaters didn't work because they ran out of propane.Would I return to this cute little casita off Del Monte? Maybe, but I would probably give some other places a try first. It's overall a pretty average experience, but I think this place has a lot of potential if they pay attention to their customer feedback.

My wife ordered off the Blue Zone menu. She was so impressed with the taste of the food. Service was great, our server was helpful and attentive and friendly. Ambiance, was a cute little place nothing fancy, but the food was outstanding. I had the 2 Taco special. And I wish we had one in Modesto. We will be back.

Holy cow the reviews don't lie! This is a hole in the wall incredible Mexican spot if you're in the Monterey/Carmel area or passing through. A small indoor space with several tables and a few outside as well, loved the traditional decor and I can't lie when I say my boyfriend and I both agreed the tacos rice and beans were some of the best we've had. The flavor profiles were outstanding I can't even describe them! Horchata is a must as well.Counting down the days until we can enjoy these tacos again. Thanks for the great service and even better food! Cheers.

I was excited to learn that Tacos CA Grill Mexican Restaurant is working with Blue Zones Project and now has a special plant-based menu in addition to their traditional menu. The California Bowl had fresh ingredients with a choice of red or green sauce. It was delicious and I can't wait to return and try the other items on the new menu.
I was in town for the Monterey Car Week events, just as thousands of other people were and I was starving after checking out the Exotics on Broadway event. I had parked my motorcycle just up the street from this place so I walked over and went inside where I was greeted by a young woman with a smile. Being a fish taco addict, I asked "what type of fish do you use in your fish tacos?" "Fresh sea bass", she replied. I ordered two fish tacos and a Modelo and she said I could sit anywhere I liked and she would bring it to me. It was a beautiful day, so I chose to sit at a table out front. A few minutes later she came out with a plate of deliciousness and a frosty cold beer. The plate had two loaded fish tacos on extremely soft and fresh house made tortillas, and each taco had a generous heap of fish and fresh pico de gallo. Hot sauce and lime was also provided. After one bite I knew I had possibly stumbled upon one of the best fish taco joints in recent memory. Such a charming place! I got the veggie burrito and it was delicious! The red sauce is amazing, it's pretty spicy for those who have a milder pallette. The fish tacos are also delicious, as well as the california burrito. I'm so happy we found this gem!

I wanted to some breakfast and found this place serves breakfast till 12 noon! That great to great because I do like a good breakfast only I'm not a morning person. I had the Omelet which was excellent! It was full of flavor! I ended up adding in oatmeal which I'm always iffy on because most restaurants serve it mushy or watery, but they did a great good with it. It was cooked just right! Ivan was the server and he did a great job. I found out the cook name was Esteban. I definitely want to come back when they are here because service was excellent! I'll definitely be back!
