We really wanted to enjoy this place. The people are great but the drinks are very expensive and the food was nothing special. The onion rings were tasty though.
The $75 cover charge is outrageous and disappointing. The menu lacks sufficient items, especially for a party of two. It's quite disappointing that the minimum spend per person was only mentioned at the door, instead of being communicated beforehand during the reservation process.
Absolutely terrible service. Reserved a table FOR TWO a week advance to watch a divisional NFL football game and it was absolute mayhem and a complete disaster of of organizational skills from management all the way down to the servers. We arrived 15 minutes ahead of our reservation and were told that it was going to be a few minutes. The restaurant was completely overcrowded and overflowed and later we were notified that we would not be seated because they had overbooked???? What kind of bs is that???
A+ service from entire staff and management. LOTS of game monitors. The games and music are too loud to have a conversation. Tables are too close together, packed in like sardines, not enough space for patrons or servers. Food was ok, but pricey for bar food. They were sold out of several popular menu items at 4pm on Sunday wild card game day. I'd say B- overall.
My husband and I made a reservation at Game Changer Brewhouse to watch the Chargers playoff game and arrived early for our 5:15 p.m. reservation. Upon arrival, we were told reservations "did not matter" and were quoted a 30-45 minute wait, which turned into nearly an hour. Multiple parties who arrived after us were seated before we were. We were finally seated at 5:25 p.m. at a makeshift table on the public sidewalk, directly in front of the entrance, with folding chairs. We were told several times we would receive heaters, yet nearby tables received them while we did not- until we specifically asked someone we assumed was a manager. Service was extremely slow. Our server dropped off empty water glasses and took over 10 minutes to return with water. We ordered 2 rounds of drinks, a starter, and entrées at the same time, but it took over 20 minutes just to receive our drinks, and tables seated after us were served before us. Our entrees arrived before our starter. Even after a reminder, the appetizer arrived about 20 minutes later. The crispy cauliflower was dry, greasy, and had an off putting fishy taste, so we sent it back. Both our water and beer glasses were visibly dirty. Throughout the evening, we overheard management comping food and drinks for other tables due to similar issues. Overall, between the disregard for reservations, poor seating, slow service, food quality issues, and cleanliness concerns, this was a very disappointing experience.
Vibe was great, $45 mimosas is a good deal. Menu isn't great, and they ran out of chicken wings by 2pm on a wildcard weekend. Not much to pick from. They need more staff, the turn around to order an another drink was too long. The menu needs improvement and need more staff. Overall good .
Disappointing first visit. We were told at the end of the meal that there was a time limit on the table which was never communicated when booking or arriving. Manager was rude and dismissive. We were actively ordering drinks and food. Our server, David, was excellent but the lack of communication and treatment ruined our experience.
It's a nice location with a good TV setup and good food. I think they need to figure out their reservation situation and stop overbooking, and then it'll be a great spot.
I travel 1 hour from home just for this sports bar! The staff, the manager, and everyone who visits are always welcoming! The food and drinks are great and the vibes are immaculate ! I 100% would recommend Game Changer Brewhouse to anyone!
Great place to enjoy the big games with very enthusiastic fans. Only thing j would add is an appetizer menu.
Restaurantji Recommends
I would go back to watch any sports game. Food was ok, would not return for that but for the atmosphere.
Game Changer was awesome. We went on a Saturday night where several sports events were being played and watched. That added to the noise level because of the cheering fans, but it was five. The service was outstanding. Had a great server who was professional, personable and knowledgeable. We shared the Loaded Tater Tots which were delicious and some margaritas. Game Changer has a wide food menu and plenty of drinks to choose from. We look forward to going back. Strongly recommend Game Changer.
Horrible experience. I made these reservations over a month ago. We had friends from out of town. Rude manager. Set us at a table for five but we were 6. Made us eat on a corner of the table. There was a fight on tv and when they presented us with a check wanted 70 per person. There was no notification at all. Ran out of food. One of our guests ate nothing . Service horrible. Manager could care less. We are neighbors in the area and will be sure to share this info in line and to our neighborhood. So embarrassing. Horrible experience!
My husband and I had an OpenTable reservation for 11:45 and arrived at 11:55, at which point we were seated for our reservation. We ordered food and several drinks and were enjoying our time when, at around 2:28, we were informed that there was a three-hour maximum at our table and that we needed to leave. We showed the staff our reservation details and explained that it hadn't even been three hours since we were seated, but the general manager insisted we had checked in earlier and were past the limit. His insistence made us feel uncomfortable, especially given that we dine here almost every week since the restaurant opened and have never once been told of this policy. When we mentioned that this rule had never been communicated before, the GM said it was posted on the website. However, policies like this should be clearly communicated at check-in—not assumed that guests will search for them online. The business feels completely mismanaged. A few weeks ago, despite advertising bottomless mimosas, they were out of sparkling wine by 10am on a Sunday. Matt, your presence is missed, as we don't feel like this would happen under your watch.
Came for game 7 of the World Series & had the best time ever! Definitely will be back!
