We were having a nice Saturday night with beers and burgers, food was decent for the price. Our server, Avery, was friendly to us.

That’s until the table next to us began loudly spouting hate speech regarding what’s happening in Gaza. Instead of neutralizing the conversation, our sever Avery leaned into the conversation and joined in. Very disturbing to see an employee participate in hate speech at the workplace.

We will avoid Islands from this experience. Such a shame, I’ve enjoyed the chain since I was young…

I ordered online and arrived at the time the website said my burger and fries would be ready. A kind server came to me at the front and he left to talk to someone. When he came back, he told to me go to the pick up area where someone who was informed of the order would assist. Thirty minutes later, no server or bartender had approached or even cared to notice I had been waiting for quite some time for my order while I see other customers receive their checks and even order more food. I called one of the bartenders who finally walked over to the pick up side and when I asked if my order was ready, he asked if I had talked to someone, which I obviously had! My fries were cold and burger was soggy (although still tasty) but I'm disappointed in how dismissive and inattentive the staff were; was there no communication within staff that someone was ready for a pick up? I have been and ordered at other Islands and have had nothing but great service and care, so I'm really bummed with this experience. At least the soggy burger was still good...

Burger was not great unfortunately. Lacking in taste. I think the meat may have been under-seasoned. Fries sucked too.

We just had the best experience ever at the Sherman Oaks Islands. The burgers were delicious and the fries were exceptional. We got chips and guacamole from the happy hour menu! Can’t wait to come back. Place was well liked by a 20 year old, her dad myself and my parents. Super place for all!

My wife and I ordered a couple of hamburger meals with fries and drinks. Both of the hamburgers came out over cooked, dry, and cold. We sent them both back to the kitchen to try again. The refreshed burgers came back to us warm, not still dry and over cooked, and an odd flavor, like it was held in refrigeration without any wrap to isolate the smells of the fridge. My burger didn't taste like fresh meat was used. Very disappointed. I ate about half, cans took the other half home, where I ended up throwing it away the next day as it really did have an unpleasant flavor about it.
