Enjoyed a very nice lunch here recently. The food was very good and the staff friendly. Our only complaint was the music level was a little loud for conversation and the staff could not adjust it as it was controlled by the manager. If you're looking for a tasty meal and can talk over the music this is the place to go.

Great sushi spot on Ventura Blvd., in the Sherman Oaks area. Valet parking is on the side street.

Provender: a great sushi spot in Sherman Oaks. The nigiri tasted fresh and the sashimi was generous. The presentation was also fantastic, making it a wonderful experience. Prices: typical for sushi restaurants on Ventura Blvd. Parking: your best bet is to valet your car. Enter on Benedict Canyon Drive. Valet is about $5. People: fun for all. Perks: they offer both indoor and outdoor seating. The indoor seating includes tables and the sushi bar. Staff and chefs were very friendly.

Food was great . I hate to said that the service was horrible !! We waited forever to get our food although we order right away because the service concentrated on two big parties of 20 plus people. And to add things worse not only they forgot to bring an appetizer at the end of the billl I remind them we never got it and instead of giving it for free as a curtesy they brought it and charge for it 2 hours later !! Very disappointing

I would recommend all sushi lovers to come and eat here!! The ambient is very kind and social. I loved how attentive the employees were. Food was noticeably fresh. I also loved the fact that if you don't enjoy fish, they have many other options for you. Daniel, the owner, came by to our table and asked if everything was okay. It was a nice touch! I recommend the chicken teriyaki plate.

I don't leave reviews but this place gave us the HAVE TO because of the service!! So attentive and sushi was so fresh ! Also when I go to a restaurant the restroom will tell you how clean it is and restroom was spotless clean. Fish was so fresh and just trying spicy tuna will tell you how good a sushi place is. I will be back and my family will too .

Food was gas! Extremely rich in flavor and paired with the perfect amount of servings. I would give this is place more than 5 stars if possible, I absolutely loved the atmosphere. Service was excellent the waiters were very attentive and friendly. Betty, my waiter, was an absolute vibe and very knowledgeable. Would come again.

Omg! I cannot with this place, a hidden gem in Sherman oaks. Such a vibe I was walking by and found this restaurant since I was in a mood for some sushi and it did not disappoint. I ordered toro sushi it legit buttered in my mouth! The yellowtail carpaccio was one of my server's recommendations and it was rich in flavor. I was also able to make my own handrolls and I finished off with a strawberry macaron! Overall I would give this place a 10 star if I could. Beatriz my server was so nice, all her recommendations were on point and I would definitely be coming back.

Kaiju is a gorgeous looking sushi restaurant on the famous Ventura Blvd. The ambience is great and I had a nice table and whole corner area to myself. I also had the Owner personally take my order and serve my dinner. The Nigiri and handrolls were delicious. I particularly enjoyed the Toro, Snapper Nigiri and crab handroll. The owner told me "Kaiju means dragon monster.Fun, classy sushi restaurant with great food, people and ambience.Highly recommended.

If I could give it zero I would, the only redeeming factor is that the food is decent. But EVERYTHING ELSE was TERRIBLE. We decided to go here for my dad's 60th birthday because we absolutely love sushi. The first issue we came across was that they counted a newborn baby as an additional guest to our party and because of that they ALSO required a 20% gratuity since our party was now a group of 6 (Again, we were 5 adults and 1 young infant). At first we were like okay, it is what it is but then we came across our next issue- the service. I get they were somewhat busy on a Sunday night at 5:30pm but it took forever to order. In addition, they timed our food out horribly and forgot one of our orders. We all waited for the last persons food to arrive, which took an additional 20 minutes (I kept track). The entire time, the order was on the counter sitting there for at least 10 minutes. So at this point we were like "Okay fine, at least the food is good". Well, as we exited the restaurant my sister with her newborn baby tripped on a cardboard box directly outside of the restaurant in the parking lot that was clearly left out by the restaurants dumpster. She fell and scraped both of her knees really bad and ripped her pants. Thankfully the baby was in a car seat, but it was so terrifying! We went in to notify the restaurant to let them know about this safety issue and we were told "So sorry. Nothing we can do about it". That sums it up. Couldn't even care enough to even ask us if the baby or even my sister was okay or take our feedback about safety into consideration. Horrible, I will never return again!

We took my dad to celebrate his birthday and we were the only diners in the restaurant when we first arrived (5 adults and a 2 week old baby) originally we were give a 4 top table which was too small, and after a server noticed our obvious discomfort they moved us to another table. That should have been when we left, but stupidly didn't ignore the warning signs of what was to come. Our new server came over and before giving us her name or our menus told us there was a 20% service fee for parties of 6 or more, so yes, they counted our newborn as a diner (we joked around that he should have at least gotten a glass of water or a place setting, or had a space in the bathroom where I could change his soiled diaper rather than balancing him on my knees). We ordered our beverages and some appetizers, and about 10 minutes later our main dishes. The food was pretty good, however the service was absolutely horrible (again, you don't need to work hard or at all if it's guaranteed I guess?). We didn't see our waitress after placing the orders and instead had to rely on flagging people down to ask for basics like refills on our drinks. If several of us asked for a refill they would only take one glass at a time , come Back and we would need to flag someone down all over again. When we got our entrees 4/5 of us got them at the same time, and the 5th person had to wait over 15 minutes for theirs which meant the rest of us were politely waiting for them to get their dish before eating too. Again, we had to flag down a server to ask them where it was )we could see it sitting on the counter) and their reply was that that dish takes longer than the others to prepare. At the end of the meal when we saw our waitress again she apologized for the service charge and that was it, no thank you for coming? Happy birthday, or anything else. This restaurant is better left for take out only or bad dates

A little but cute place, which definitely is a " Must Visit"! The Ambience is nice, but can be a very loud and busy place. The "Portobello Mushroom" was absolutely delicious! I do not mind eating that plate over and over again. The food tastes and looks really good. The service also is good, there were some little issues in the beginning but I totally understand, because they were really busy... but they did their best and the team work was awesome!

I have my monthly thai massages next door at sparadise and I'm sad I've missed this place! Was my first time at this restaurant today, and let me say yummmmmm! The sushi was fresh and sauces were made to perfection and unique. I love the option of not having just seaweed sheets! The servers were warming and attentive. Will be back! :)
