Pizza Wagon of Brooklyn

Good pizza for LA. Sauce good. Toppings good. Meat topping great. Pesto impressive. Cheese could be better. Crust could have a little more of a bite in the consistency.

Came just before close on a Monday night to pick up a pepperoni. The shop is often bustling during lunch and dinner and the last few orders where getting boxed up as I came in. Grabbed the sodas we ordered and the pizza and headed out.

The pizza is delicious. A crunchy chewy crust throughout that makes you want to dip those crusts and a not too sweet sauce. While greasy, the pepperoni and cheese taste great and the ratio of toppings is perfect. Even the flat parts of curust offer a little crunch as you bite. I'm not an expert by any means but my wife who technically came from Brooklyn as a wee lass gives it a stamp of approval. If I recall correctly we had a couple slices ages ago here and the white pie should not be missed.

Never lived in NY but sure did eat a lot of pizza there. This is not it. Crust is too thick. Does not have that chew and it's too doughy. Sparce on pepperoni on a NY pepperoni pizza? What!?

Sauce is accurate but too much and had to add extra cheese just to get enough.

My go to will remain Joe's for the moment.

I was really excited to try this place and finally got the chance to go last night. Now I’m worried it made me sick because I’ve been on the toilet ever since 😭

Also, one soda is 4 dollars. I wouldn’t have bought it, but I needed something to wash down what tasted like day old pizza (they don’t have water cups like most places).

In the words of my fav show Bobs Burgers, the pizza tasted “overdone and dry.”

Unfortunately, I will not be coming back, even though it’s so so close to my house 😢

ordered a large pizza, was amazing and had great flavor, the staff and service was also top tier. The pizza was way bigger in size compared to any major pizza buisness. Definitely would reccomend.
