Pizza Wagon of Brooklyn

NYC cheese slices are my jam, and we have an embarrassment of riches in Sherman Oaks. Within a mile of each other, there are three, count 'em three, authentic NY slice shops. My son and I visited all three of them on a self-guided cheese slice tour of Sherman Oaks. Pizza Wagon was stop three on the tour!

The atmosphere is good...NY decor on the walls in what feels like a truly neighborhood / not-chain space. The service was great too...the staff worked quickly and were abundantly friendly and helpful.

They do a good job with authentic style slices...the right amount of crisp on the crust and a good ratio of sauce versus cheese. The chew was good, though both the crust and sauce don't quite have the superior flavor profile of the nearby places.

It's definitely a good alternative to those, though, and miles ahead of the major chain pizzas in terms of NY style.

I was running an errand by the luggage store. I passed this place and was a little hungry and got a slice of the pesto pizza. Wow!!!! What a find! Delicious!!! And I'm a foodie and picky. This is going to my new go place for pizza! Glad to have you in Sherman Oaks!

That pizza is bland and minimal toppings just horrible. They are obviously just trying to make a couple of dollars there is no love on these pizzas. Look, if you're just trying to make money sell burgers and pita sandwiches. Leave the pizza making to people who love what they do. Pizza taste like they have hate in their heart. Brooklynnn??? Stop it.

Soooo good. Very flavorful and tasty. Made fresh it you get the full size. Many different options. They have pepperoni pizza, Hawaiian pizza, normal pizza, and many others. The service is great. They are very helpful. The prices are not that bad it is reasonable. Good location. The slices are very large. I recommend the garlic sticks.

This is the best and only well made and deliciously seasoned pizza in town. I’m from New York and discovered this place 3 days after they opened. I met the owners and was intrigued with their history about NY. Go in and come back. You will!!
