Puchica Guatemalan Bar & Grill

Púchica bar and grill has won my heart with the sea food soup. This restaurant has a variety of Guatemalan classic cuisine while having a group of marimba live performance.
Today was my grandma birthday and thanks to their wonderful and excellent hospitality our family left home happy.
The food is as close to be authentic as it can get. I could feel the attention to detail that they put in their food. The food is not only great, it's hella tasty. I don't remember the last time that I went to a Guatemalan restaurant and felt happy eating here.

Almorzamos en Puchica hace unos dias. Me encantan sus garnachas pero ordenamos un plato de carne asada. Al ver la porcion de carne me quede sorprendida. He ido a otros restaurantes y la porcion de carne ea mucho mas grande. El costo del plato fue de $25 pero me quede con la boca abierta con el pedazo de carne tan pequeño que nos dieron. No creo volver.

Terrible service, we ordered some chuchitos for the entree and they did not arrive, the waitress had a bad attitude when serving, the meat was not on point and the banana was very hard

We were thinking of going from Los Angeles, but seeing so many bad comments...I think I cook better than I would eat and pay dearly in this place...sorry I will remove it from my places to visit, and thanks to whoever comments the truth ?

Food wasn’t fresh and it wasn’t good at all. I told the manager this and she responded that the food was fresh and made that same day when clearly it wasn’t. The dish wasn’t removed from my ticket. I don’t recommend this place at all :(

Wonderful place to spend a special occasion!

I cannot emphasize what a beautiful Father’s Day we had at Puchica!
We started off with chips and salsa, which was fresh and delicious, with just the right kick. My pollo en crema was bursting with flavor and tasted just like homemade. The carne asada was tender and delicious, and we were asked what doneness level we wanted (rare, medium, well) which was a great touch, and something I have never experienced with a carne asada plate, as it is usually always cooked well-done. The portions were generously sized, leaving us full and satisfied, but not uncomfortably stuffed. The meals come with homemade tortillas, which further elevated our experience. Our waiter was funny, friendly, and attentive, making sure to give all the dads the service they deserved.
My dad was in shock and amazement at the amazing marimba performance (Sat 11-2, Sun 12-3) which was spectacular and authentically Guatemalan. I’m glad he was able to feel close to home. I 1000% recommend this restaurant for Chapines out there who want to savor the food and culture of their people. Once again thank you to the staff, specifically our waiter, Fernando, for making it the best day ever ?
